Its another cold morning here, just a dusting of snow overnight....supposed to get more though in the next day or so.

I'm home today, but have some deliveries to do for Brad, off to Toronto though tomorrow, loving the new truck, thank god for 4 wheel drive!!

Just been out to fill the bird feeders and refresh all the water,it's bitterly cold again this morning,soon got warmed up after doing my 'go away Harry the Hawk' dance i swear i'll get locked up one of these days if anyone see's me
Going to set to and make some fish cakes and a fishpie ....my mouths watering

Shiney, you really have got a lot on your plate at the moment, but it is lovely to think about your open day. At least this year I shall know where I am driving to and how to get there. Wonderful.

Loli, I have just done my bird tables etc they certainly seem to get through the seed and peanuts at a healthy rate but then that is not surprising when there is a whole load of hungry starlings and collared doves around. The poor smaller birds have to nip in and out and try to avoid the big boys. They do have their own hanging cages for the peanuts so the tits are ok and those other little ones that like the peanuts.

... Shiney,you are certainly kept busy.....it's suprising how the time is whipping round....you're open weekend will be here before we know it

Moyra.. the birds here look to be on a mission...the feeders and tables are full of Finches ,Tits,Sparrows,Blackbirds....and the Stoggies are clearing up too...they must have seen the forcast.... we're due for a bit more snow in a few days.....hopefully it won't come to much.....the garden is saturated.......
I've not a great deal planned for today...the main thing is getting my mum to the doctors this afternoon....she's had a couple of dizzy spells and needs fixing

Shiney, yes that was really weird wasn't it? Meant to be. It will be nice to see everyone again and I am looking forward to it.

Loli, I suppose the birds do sense the changes in the weather. I have to go out and check their tables again today. I like to do it everyday seeing as we are feeding the 500 so many people are feeding the birds now they ought to be surviving well. I hope you get your mum sorted out ok Loli.

Its cold here and snowing like crazy....definitely have to go out and use my little snow blower, Brad can do the rest when he comes home.

I was in Toronto all day yesterday, so its errands for me today around town and have 1 delivery to do too.

Have been over sons two days running-looking after the lovely dogs. Had hospital appt but they don't think the oedema in my leg (after cellulitis) is being managed so have to wear two grade two compression stockings on one leg and one on the other. I also have to go to the clinic weekly for 6 weeks to have some massage and learn how to do it myself. It will start under my arms and work down to follow the lymph drainage system which is permanently damaged unfortunately.
Hope everyone is coping with this cold weather.

I've just had a wander round the garden and everything is frozen solid...Archi and Theo have been running around frantically with thier noses in the air, seems like Mr Fox has just passed through on his way home...i've refreshed all the water for the birds breakfast so a cup of tea for me is now in order and another coat of mascarra then that's me off to work...Hi HO
