    Morning everyone,

Its cold here this morning, supposed to get snow squalls today, and another dump of snow.

I have a few errands to do today, since i wont be going down to Toronto.

Might go up to the shop and start some more seeds today, we'll see.

    Enjoy your day everyone.

Evening to all the lovely people here
I had a lovely day today but it is still cold here. I noticed some buds on the trees at the house I went to so spring is definitely on its way!
Hope everyone is ok and Woo will be flying in soon.

      Good morning everyone,

I hope everyone is on form:dbgrtmb:

Well my chat with the chooks seemed to work yesterday...let's hope they keep it up:dbgrtmb:
Instead they preferred to chase after the Blackbirds so that kept them busy:rolleyespink:
It's drying up quite nicely out there but snow flurries are forecast so i best 'make hay'....

      Waves to all,
Have a great day and takecare:SUNsmile:

        Aloha everyone,

Well it is cold out there this morning but at least it is dry. Still no WOO do hope he is ok.

Yes, Jazmine lots of buds are appearing and unfortunately if it gets any colder they may suffer for it.

Hope you chat to your chooks was successful Loli, I wonder if they will do as you ask or whether they will carry on regardless.

Shiney, I expect you are making quite good progress with your edging of the lawns and gardens.

Waves to Kandy, Lili, Mum, Penny et al. Hope you are all ok and have a good day all.

        Aloha!:wub2:

        Morning everyone,

Its coooold morning here, and more snow squall warnings for my area, so no trips down to Toronto again today, i do need to drive about 20 minutes away and drop off a repaired aerator though.

I think Kait and Natalie are going snowboarding this morning, all i can say is thank god for North Face and Burton clothing!!!

Looks like Brad and i will have to go out later and snowblow....damn snow, is it spring yet!!!!

        Have a great day all.

Evening ladies ( can't see any gents) in fact it is quiet here.
I hope our regulars are all ok.
It has turned really cold today and I am getting fed up with it now. I did go out today but in this weather I don't want to leave the house.

          Aloha everyone,

I got a bit too busy to be on the computer much yesterday but none of it was gardening. Much too cold a wind to want to stay out there if it isn't necessary.

I've also been trying to sort things out for Barry. His local authority are stopping paying Coucil Tax Benefit except to pensioners, and even they will have to pay some of it. They have been paying it for him (and his mum before him) for all his life. They've dropped the savings threshold by over 60%. Anyone with savings over that amount won't get any benefit at all. I hope they won't do the same for his rent as that would take all his disability allowance and leave him with nothing. I've been running around sorting out his new mobility scooter as well. With a bit of luck he'll have it next week. Then it will mean sorting out his log book, road fund licence (yes, you have to have it for a mobility scooter) and insurance.

I had my regular visit to the hygienist/dentist yesterday. No problems :blue thumb:

          Woo, I hope you're OK :)

Jazmine, you seem to be enjoying yourself :hapydancsmil:

Loli, you need to be very strict with the girls. :nonofinger: :)

Penny, I hope you don't get too much snow.

Moyra, have you received your new bus pass? Mine arrived in the post yesterday. I hope you're not looking upon the age of 70 as being a barrier . It's only a number :dbgrtmb:. I think you should be aiming at coming to our Open Day when you're 80 :heehee:.

I've got to start planning the food for the students tomorrow as I'll have to go out shopping for it today.

Keep warm and have a great day

          Aloha!

            Good morning everyone,
Is everyone OK this morning ?:dbgrtmb:
Where are woo Woo,hope alls well with you and yours:dbgrtmb:

Hope Barry is sorted soon Shiney,it makes you wonder what things are coming to ,when there are vunerable people getting left with the bare minimum to live on....it's a worry....

The 'girls' were good again yesterday , i don't really want to start penning them up as they love to potter around the garden but if they are going to start being naughty 'mummy' is going to get cross:old: overtime i've been trying to get the garden 'chicken proofed'...most of the borders are pretty sturdy shrubs so they don't get damaged by them......my problem is i want the best of both worlds...a nice garden and chooks:rolleyespink: i'll keep working on it:thumbsup:

Theo is at the vets this morning for a check up...re skin...which apppears to be fine now but he is on so many tablets... the steriods have made him pile the weight on and another tablet can cause allsorts of long term problems even though they seem to have 'cured' but IMO have just masked his problem....time for a re think.....

            Waves to all....
Have a good one and take care:SUNsmile:

              Aloha Everyone,

Getting concerned as to where our WOO has got to. Do hope he has not done his back in again or got a nasty cold. WOO if you are not well, get better soon. Miss all lovely pictures.

Loli, so glad the girls are behaving themselves do think your hoping a bit much re the garden it is not natural for them not to have a good scratch around and I expect the blackbirds are quite thankful that they do lift the soil for them. Is it possible allow them an area when weather conditions are such that they are likely to do permanent damage. Sorry poor Theo is going through it. That is the trouble with steroids no matter what you do he is bound to put on weight.

Shiney, my bus pass does not expire until 31st August 2016. I think it was renewed last year. You keep saying about Barry losing all his benefits it is scaring me as to what I am going to lose. I am in that no mans land where my little bit of pension from Essex County Council takes me just a pound or two over the limit for pension credit so I miss out on quite a few things. After all that decorating my flat last year the landlady refused to pay for any of it and promptly put the rent up by another £75 per month. So I am at the point of hoping that my housing benefit will take account of that when it is reassessed which it is now because of a slight improvement in Steve's accounts last year and that it is annually assessed at this time anyway.Whatever Steve earns is deducted or most of it is deducted from any housing benefit because they naturally assume that he will contribute to housing costs. So it is worrying me . I hope Barry doesn't come off too badly. If necessary, I can look for a job maybe supermarket checkout or something I'll worry about it if I have to. Shiney I understood it was to be only new applicants that wouldn't get some of this money?

Waves to Kandy, Jaz, Mum, Lili, Penny et all. Have a good day all.

              Aloha!:wub2:
