    Aloha Everyone,

I hope it is going to be a nice day. Need to do a bit of spring cleaning as I have a friend coming from Kent tomorrow. Looking forward to that.

Must get Amber to the vets, she was supposed to have her six month check up last month but because of all the snow and ice we never made the appointment. Now we need some more flea treatment for a fortnight's time so I have no choice but to take her and get told off that she has put more weight on! Oh she is such a pig it is hard to stop her from eating. If I keep her on a lead she doesn't get the exercise and if I let her off for a run she starts eating bits of wood and fox and cat dirts. Dirty cow. So I am twixt the devil and the deep blue sea. Either way she puts on weight.

I hope you are all ok, waves to WOO, Loli, Shiney, et al. Have a lovely day everyone and stay safe and warm.

    Aloha!:wub2:

    Good morning everyone,
Woo,i hope you are feeling much better ,take it easy:dbgrtmb:
Shiney,i'll keep you to that:thumbsup: i lost my old apple tree a few years back and never got around to replacing it:doh: i do miss it....a neighbour has a lovely Bramley that gets laden with huge apples that just get left to fall and rot...it's such a shame....The previous owners had a fantastic garden and an immaculate veg plot...they rarely bought a thing...they we both in their nineties...i miss not seeing them too....they were always pottering:sad:

I hope everyone is lucky enough to have weather like what i've got today:dancy: it really is beautifull and feels quite mild....ventured out to the GH and didn't need my dressing gown:biggrin: i've a list as long as your arm of jobs i want to do today and can't wait to get cracking....it's amazing what a bit of sunshine does to spur you on:dbgrtmb:

    Waves to all,take it easy:dbgrtmb:
Have a great day and take care:SUNsmile:

    Good morning everyone,

Been a bit off colour for a few days and then when i did finally get on the computer had problems and Mr Kandy had to do a whole lot of scanning but everything is fine with it so don't know what is going on:whistle:

Woo hope you are feeling better and looking forward to a nice warm summer this year:SUNsmile: :spinning:

Moyra, hope all goes well with the visit from your friend from Kent and sorry that Amber eats so much bad stuff:eeew: Our Tina used to eat horse poo if we took her round the woods where horses had been and the worst was when she used to roll in pike remains that the fishermen used to leave on the river banks and really loved rolling in Badger poo:yikes: so you are not alone:doggieshmooze:

Shiney,I am like you and have loads of fruit in the freezer, mainly apples and raspberries which is helping now that the food prices are sky rocketing:frown: I haven't even begun to think about our lawns yet as i am using it as a bird table at the moment for all the ground feeding birds:snork: Hope your meal went well with your friends yesterday and Mr Kandy enjoyed the chat with you the other day;)

Loli,I hope you haven't got the same problems with your greenhouse that i have.I made the mistake of turning up the heating when we had all the snow and frosts and now have lots of plants growing like mad and they are far too far in front now and i can't put them outside yet until the weather gets warmer.Hope that Theo and Archie are imroving slowly and that you are starting to feel better:smile:

Hello to everyone else and hope you are all having a good weekend:smile:

    Aloha everyone,

Woo, it's good to see up nice and bright on such a chilly day. Take care of yourself :blue thumb:

Loli, it's such a pity when good fruit goes to waste. There should be a special gardeners' law that allows you to collect fruit from trees when idiots don't pick it themselves. :heehee: Actually, there should be a gardening law that says you can't have a garden if you don't look after it - unless you have a medical exemption. All people that aren't interested in looking after a garden should live in flats and leave the gardens to people who can do something with them. Should I join the Green Party? :snork:

Moyra, you really need to cut down on Amber's food. One of our neighbours let their dog get too fat and as it grew older it started to have real problems with its joints (I know the feeling :old:). They put it on a diet and it got better. :dbgrtmb:

Kandy, yes, it was a good chat with Mr K :). I wish you better :blue thumb:

It's very frosty today and the temp didn't get above 1C yesterday.

    Have a great day

    Aloha!

    Good morning everyone,
How are we all ?.....i hope everyone is getting on the right track ready for this lovely spring i'm expecting:dbgrtmb:
    Good to 'see' you Kandy:dbgrtmb:
Shiney you are absolutley right about the 'Garden/gardeners laws' i've said the self and same thing myself....there are some people desperate for a garden and i too think they should swap homes with those that neglect theirs and aren't interested:blue thumb: and Yes you should be president of the Green party:yes: you've got my vote:yay:

Moyra...Theo is really piling on the pounds with these steroids and i can hear his joints clicking already....i'll be glad when he's weened off them....both dogs had a ball yesterday when i was mulching with FYM....you can imagine what they were up to:heehee: i'm sure Amber would have been doing the same if she was here:biggrin:

It was a glorious day yesterday...bordering on summer never mind spring....got lots of jobs done in the garden and the GH:dancy: I was as happy as a Loli in FYM:biggrin: it's mild here again this morning....5 degrees...but cloudy...still pleasant though:dbgrtmb:
I've woken up with the return of my cold and a wisdom tooth that is errupting:ouch1:otherwise i'm tickety boo and looking forward to get cracking again today:dancy:

    Waves to all....
Have a lovely Sunday, take it easy and take care:SUNsmile:

    Aloha everyone,

Shiney, I do try to cut her down, when real weather comes and Steve can take her across the fields to run and play with the other dogs she will lose some weight then. As I say I do try to let her off to run and it is great when there is another friendly dog she can play with. I estimate she is 2kg overweight. That is what the vet said last time she saw them. It's not an awful lot to be over but it is when it keeps slipping on that we must watch for.

Kandy it is good to see you and wish you and Mr K well. WOO you sound bright and cheery this morning, I hope you are feeling much better too. Loli sorry you have a tooth playing up so do I and I said to Steve I must make an appointment. Trouble is I have not been since 1989. That sounds a long time ago now.

Well everyone stay well, stay safe and have a lovely day. I am now looking forward to my company coming from Kent not near you WOO they are in Welling which is more London now than Kent. Catch up with you later in the day.

    Aloha!:wub2:

Loli, I don't want to be President of the Green Party. I'm already President of Shineyland. I took over when Oscar departed :cat-kittyandsmiley: :cry3: but still follow all his policies. :) :dbgrtmb:

Do you think the return of your cold might have something to do with wandering around without your dressing gown. You're not Lady Godgifu of Mercia!!! :nonofinger: but I'm sure you look as good as she did. :heehee:

Woo, as a good friend of the Shineyland inhabitants you get special privileges and can cross over at anytime without having to go through immigration. I've sent all border patrols a copy of your picture so there should be no trouble. :dbgrtmb: :)

WOO if you want to come to Billericay you should come and see me as I live only about 6 miles from there. You really want the Hanningfield Reservoir which is a few miles the other side of Billericay and where I live. Lots of lovely ducks and bird species and plenty for you to photograph. Lot of trout fishing on the reservoir itself. Rainham Marshes are not as far down the thames as I am I am nearer Benfleet Creek. Lovely bird hides down there in Watt Tyler Park. The TV people were down there filming the foxes last Spring on Spring Watch. Great place to visit.

Well folks I am going to go and pull the plug now so take care all, see you all in the morning. Night night.
