Well what a washout and I thought the lake district was further north than this.

Loli, hope you are feeling a little better hope you are having a bit of R and R over this weekend.

Shiney, nothing like paperwork, insurances and such like to tire you out quicker than gardening and far less satisfying.

WOO hope the weather not too bad so you can get out with your camera and take some more lovely shots of the wildlife and places of interest.

What a miserable morning it is. I suppose we should be grateful it is not snowing but the wind is bitingly cold again. I hope everyone is tucked up safe and warm and WOO I'd skip the outing today it is not very nice out there at all.

Well we did get snow this morning but it didn't settle and it didn't last thankfully. I am going to pull the plug on this machine in a little while so I will take myself to the Goodnight thread and say Goodnight all. See you all in the morning.

 

Good morning

Spanish student arrived safe and well yesterday. Food yesterday wasn't a problem because Mr Mum had booked a restaurant and it was a very, very nice meal.

Set my alarm for 5am so I could make myself "presentable", lay out breakfast and make the packed lunches. Unbeknown to Joan (the student, pronouced Jwan), I'd assigned everyone a shower slot so things would work like clockwork during the morning chaos It worked!

Managed to get breakfast on the table by 6.30 and the packed lunches freshly packaged so they could leave at 7am. Son has lessons all day and Joan is on an outing to the Cathedral. Still don't know if I'm providing a meal for them tonight, or, if the Spanish group and their English counterparts are going out. Hopefully son will keep me informed.

Note to self: never, *ever*, get any silly ideas of opening a B&B

Right, off to do the daily whip round.

Yes we have snow falling here. I got well snowed while I walked Amber this morning. It seems to have eased up a little for now but I expect there is a lot more to come. The wind is bitterly cold too. It was a case of thermals back on this morning.

Hope everyone is keeping safe and warm and all of you seem to be quite busy so take it easy and do not overdo things.
