    Aloha everyone,

We had a good but busy time for the last two days as we've been getting together with family. It'll be the same for the rest of the week.

I've been pottering around since 4.30 this morning and don't expect the others to be up for an hour or so. :)

Keep warm and have a good day

        Good morning Shiney,Woo and everyone:smile:

Shiney,Hope the getting together with family goes well and hope that the weather is good for you all down south has it is blooming cold here in the midlands at the moment:eeew: Going back to my Cockney accent{or lack of it}if i had a £ for all the times when we are out and about in the UK people have thought i was from Londonium{sp}i would be a multi millionairess{sp} by now:snork:

Woo,we have just been watching the snow that has been falling down your end of the world on the telly and it does look bad and if i was you i would stay tucked up in the warm today and keep those wings of yours frost free:biggrin:

Moyra, sounds like you are having it bad as well as you live down near Woo and hope that you manage to keep warm and in good spirits until the weather warms up a bit.You need to get one of those treadmills especially for dogs and that will help get the excess weight off of Amber. My sister has a lab and she has to watch the treats as her dog was putting on the weight even when she was a young dog:yikes:

Loli, sorry to hear your cold is no better and hope that it clears up soon as there is nothing worse than a full blown cold that keeps on and on:frown:

Anyway,i dragged Mr Kandy to MK on Saturday to help me find a dress for the two weddings we have coming up this year and i came back with three dresses and a small cardi which will go with one of the dresses and also got a new handbag as my other one is getting on a bit in years and i need a good sized one to hold my purse and camera on the day:snork:

I'm off to see the nurse this afternoon for the results of my blood tests now i have been on no meds and diet/exercise only since Jan1st so will see what she has to say:)

Waves to everyone else and hope that you are all keeping well and warm this week:wub2:

Kandy - hope you get positive results from your blood test

Shiney - enjoy your family get togethers; I'm sure you are having a blast!

Woo - not quite as bad my end of Kent as it is your end of Kent, but by crikey that is one strong, very lazy wind!!!

Loli - hope you are feeling somewhat better?

Another early start today; gave the student a new breakfast experience - scrambled duck egg fresh from the girls. He *loved* it :dbgrtmb: His trip out today is to a brewery and my tactless son mentioned over breakfast how it didn't seem like a very exciting outing. :wallbanging: He has been warned! :paladin:

I've managed to get so uptodate with things on the homefront that dinner is already made (bolognaise sauce) But, I want to make a fruit cake for the lunch boxes/snacking and it's an old family recipe - hopefully, he'll like it. Need to make some dough for tomorrows breakfast rolls and I thought I'd make calzones for tomorrow's lunchbox so I can take some of the bolognaise sauce for the filling.

One of my clematis is looking very wind burned and sorry for itself this morning; don't have any fleece to cover it with, so I have used some of Ozzy's hair from last night's grooming session and put a wadge on top of the plant. Finger's crossed :heehee:

Wishing you all warmth and miles of smiles xMx

            Aloha everyone,

Oh Lord isn't cold. I didn't want to go out this morning to take Amber for a walk but of course I did and she luckily met one of her doggy friends, little Sausage, and what a little sausage she is too. She chased Amber around, they had so much fun that I didn't have to walk too far with her as they just wore themselves out chasing each other. Wish I could meet up with her more often. You'd think what a name to call a dog but it suits her down to the ground.

The sun has come out so hopefully it will melt some of the snow away. Have a
            good all

            Aloha!:wub2:

                Aloha everyone,

I hope you're all keeping warm. The forecast rain for us today but we shall just have to wait and see. I'm about to go and wake the others up for an early breakfast so that we can get out and about fairly early. We've a lot to get done today.

Take care and have a great day

                Aloha!

                  Morning all,

Same routine as the past 3 days.

I'm getting a tad irritated though because it seems the kids are organising the after school activities for themselves and the exchange students. So far this has entailed an activity plus eating out each night!

Now, it's all well and good leaving the kids to decide this, but, I'm quite sure the exchange students money is meant as pocket money and *not* to buy dinner each evening; plus, if *they* are having to buy dinner out each night, so too is my son and I hadn't quite budgeted for that - I'd bought extra food *in*. I really do think it is unfair on both the exchange students and (from my purse perspective!) the host families. Plus, it really isn't the British way at all! :nonofinger:
Surely "culture" is part of the concept? :dunno:
                  Ok, moan over.

I'm taking myself out today; I need to see something other than 4 walls, the hoover, duster, toilet duck and cooker - at least the freezer is feeling happy and *full*! :heehee:

Wishing you all wellness vibes and miles of smiles xMx

                      Good morning everyone,

Sounds like everyone is as busy as me so hope that you are all trying to have mini breaks inbetween to recover from everything:smile:

Good results with my blood tests, even though one of them has gone up by .0 of a % and Cholesterol has gone back down to 4.6 from 5.1 the nurse said to keep going as i am without the meds and to not have to go back for six months but to keep stabbing my fingers twice a week to make sure everything is still ok:hapydancsmil:

We should be having to loads of cow muck delivered over the lottie this week so that will be a job for the weekend for Mr Kandy and i will see what i can do to help out, although if this freezing cold wind doesn't abate then i am going to stay in the warm as my bones don't like the cold any more:snork:

Have a very enjoyable day everyone and please don't get too cold or burnt with this hot sun:SUNsmile:

                        Aloha everyone,

Kandy you are right, our bones do not like this weather at all. Still at least you will have your muck for the lottie.

Mum, I can see your point of view. I think you will have to put your foot down or the students will go home thinking badly of you when it is your offsprings fault that they are buying meals out each night.

WOO, do please be careful doing that ceiling.

Shiney, have you got a house full too. Sounds like everyone is very busy.

Have a good day everyone and stay safe and warm, it is a much better day out there this morning, thankfully.

                        Aloha!:wub2:

I meant to say Loli that it does not sound as though you are really fit for going back to work, perhaps another few days would have been in order though I appreciate you do not get paid for time out ill, something tells me that is illegal unless you are self employed? Take care of yourself and get well soon.
