    Good morning everyone,

Are we all OK?:dbgrtmb: Wishing all who are under the weather back on form:thumbsup:

GA,it didn't take me too long to move the soil really, the more the rain fell the quicker i moved:biggrin: i felt it last night though:ouch1: a bit stiff today but i expected that,i haven't done any real heavy gardening for what seems ages......for all my complaints i did enjoy it though.....:dbgrtmb:
It's another shocking wet day here, the poor chooks are confined to barracks as the only small lawn left that isn't fenced off is underwater and it's a great opportunity for the 'girls' to make mud pies:nonofinger: i'll go and have a chat with them later and explain that if they want to have somewhere to sunbathe in the 'summer' they'll have to leave the lawns alone:biggrin: :chicken:

    Have a good day everyone,Take care:SUNsmile:

      Aloha Everyone,

Hi Loli, Jazmine and Annie. Loli I would think your back would be bad after all that yesterday. The girls are not going to be happy depriving them of all those lovely worms that are just below the waterlogged surface of that lawn. Cor couldn't they have a great time on there. Mind you because I have so many collared doves and starlings etc pecking around my lawn that is getting a bit squishy to say the least. The starlings are throwing the seed around so they are pecking away further and further afield on the lawn. Pain. I have already put down some stepping stones from the patio to the lilac tree where all the feeders hang.

Where is Shiney, WOO and all the others. Hope they are all ok. Of course Shiney has a nasty cold now. thankfully mine doesn't seem to have developed any further.
Well have a good day all.

      Aloha!:wub2:

        Aloha everyone,

Jazmine, I hope things are better for you :grphg:

We got home in the early hours this morning after a lovely week in Madeira. It was even nicer because we hadn't planned it and it was a very last minute thing. We met up with family on there and the weather was kind to us. The ten days before we arrived had been atrocious weather there and on the Sunday the hotel wouldn't let anyone out of the building as the winds were gusting up to 100mph. There were floods as well.

We had pretty good weather and I took loads of photos. This Echium is known as Pride of Madeira.

My cold is a bit better :) but my cough and chest is worse . Very sore ribs (from coughing) and pains in my back and neck (pulled a muscle from coughing ) - which has given me a really bad headache. I've cancelled everything in my diary for today and will settle into being pampered :blue thumb: (and feeling sorry for myself :heehee:).

Keep well and have a great day

        Aloha!

          Morning everyone,

Its cool here this morning, cant wait for Spring!!

Had a busy busy weekend, we had Kait home for a few days, and we took my MIL out for dinner, since its her b-day this week, and had all the usual trips to Toronto, shopping and all the normal stuff.

I'm pretty much home today, so i have all the bedding in the wash, including duvets, but do need to go back to the grocery store, forgot a few things.

          Anyhow....have a great day all.

With what the ,what did you call them, stoggies? Not sure I have that right but I am talking about the collared doves and pigeons trampling round my sodden lawn I can understand how you feel about the chooks. Will be good when we get some reliable dry weather.

Shiney, welcome home, I had a feeling you must be away somewhere. I hope you enjoyed your time on Madiera, lucky you.

I am off to the goodnight thread. Take care everyone, Night night.

                  Good morning everyone,

Shiney lovely photos of Madeira.:blue thumb: Mr Kandy told me the wrong date aas he saisd it was the next week after chatting to you:gaah: Sounds to me like you have a touch of bronchitis as colds often now go to my chest and i get all the same symptoms as you apart from the headache. We hope you feel better soon.:wub2:

Hope everyone else is ok.We got rid of the snow on Sunday afternoon and have had some foggy mornings but at least the afternoons have been sunny with a bit of wind so have managed to get my washing dry outside although my lawn is like a paddy field now and it looks like we might get some more snow over the weekend and talking to my neighbour yesterday he heard on the radio that we are going to get the cold weather right through to April, which is no good for my bones:gaah:

I will put up a photo of my new bench seats when i get toime to download them onto my computer from my memory card so you can see the nice colour of them:biggrin:

                  Have a good day everyone:smile:

                    Aloha everyone,

Woo, Mrs Shiney and I wish you lots better :dbgrtmb: :grphg:

Yesterday remained dry and not too cold. This morning is bright and I may wrap up warm and potter (or totter) around in the garden.

We didn't see many cats on the island but, in one place, there were a group of them sunbathing. They all looked quite well fed but one of them appeared to be sad and I wanted to give it a cuddle (I never do that unless it's a pet of someone I know). It actually made me feel upset to see it as I could almost feel the sadness. I still feel upset for it.
