    Aloha everyone,

Another sunny day yesterday and today looks as though it will continue. It's already begining to clear the frost.

I stoked up the bonfire last night and got some more stuff burnt.

I'm sure you won't have trouble doing that!! ;) :snork:

Moyra, it's good to hear that Amber is doing better. :blue thumb:

Woo, fabulous sunrise :love30:. I hope you're feeling better.

Penny, I hope Kait gets on OK in the new house :dbgrtmb:

Keep well and have a great day

    Aloha!

      Aloha everyone,

Amber's still got an infection in one ear so she has to continue on the drops for another week to see what happens. Perhaps I was less generous with the drops in that ear before so shall have to make up for it this time.

I hope everyone is ok. It is so bitter cold out in the wind so wrap up warm if you go out.

      Aloha!:wub2:

Have some errands to do today and some laundry.

If it warms up later, might go out and do some raking, we'll see.

        Aloha everyone,

I am all behind today. I thought I had come and clocked in but apparently not. Took Amber out for her second walk of the day and boy did the snow come down, doesn't appear to be settling but it came down large and fast. I was glad to get back indoors as I think she was too. Well I am glad that couple got life for murdering those poor little children. May they rest in peace now justice has been done.

WOO you take care at the osteopath hope it doesn't make your back worse, sometimes it does mine still you have to try.

Shiney good luck with your league match this afternoon, hope you win through.

        Aloha!:wub2:

          Aloha everyone,

We won the match yesterday and are currently at the top of the league :dancy:.

We've got some tree surgeons in at the moment and they're reducing the height of the laurel on the front. Mrs Shiney and I (mainly Mrs Shiney) have reduced the width of the laurel over the last six months and I was going to reduce the height but my chainsaw wasn't good enough for the job.

We're trying to make the garden easier to manage and the height of the laurel was 8ft with an average width of 7ft and about 80ft long. Cutting it has been getting more difficult with standing on ladders and trying to stretch across the width. Hopefully it will become a lot easier. :blue thumb: It's going to look a bit rough for Open Day as it'll take a good year to sprout and cover the bare wood with leaves. There will also be some big gaps as some very large branches will be cut off. The hedge has been there for sixty years.

They're putting everything through a chipper as it would be impossible to drag it all through to the back of the garden and burn it. They'll also be reducing part of a conifer hedge from 11ft to 8ft.

I'm off to a charity bridge drive this afternoon in aid of the Hospital League of Friends and then to the bridge club this evening. By the way, have I ever told you that I play bridge? :loll:

          Have a great day

          Aloha!

            Good morning everyone,

:yes:Well done with the Bridge Shiney:dancy:

You're doing right with the hedge,it will make it a bit easier for you, still a whopping hedge though....i bet it looks great:dbgrtmb: and sixty years old:hate-shocked:Good luck with the Bridge today:dbgrtmb:...... you're good at it....ever thought of taking it up more often?:heehee:

It's yet another fabulous morning here, sunshine all the way and also the temperature has gone up too.....even comfortable out there in my dressing gown:biggrin:

Wishing everyone well, have a great day and take care:SUNsmile:

              Aloha everyone,

Well done, Shiney, hope you do as well today.

Loli, sounds as though you at least are having some better weather. We had more snow yesterday but fortunately it is thawing away this morning.

WOO, I hope your osteopath appointment went well and you are feeling the benefit of it today.

Penny sorry Kait had problems with her housemates, not fair when you are trying to study is it. So hopefully she will be better next September though I assume she will still be sharing, so lets hope her new housemates will be ones desiring to study too.

Have a good day everyone, waves to Kandy, Lili, Mum et al. Have a good day all, God bless.

              Aloha!:wub2:

                  Morning everyone,

                  Finally a decent morning here!!

Supposed to rain off and on the next couple of days, but i dont really mind since it'll help clean up out there. I'm just glad i got the majority of the yard raked up, just need a couple small piles of snow to melt to get the rest.

I'm home again today, so its a cleaning day and putter outside, and water all my seedlings.

                  Have a great day everyone.
