Oh dear, there are osteopaths and there are osteopaths. In fact I think I prefer chiropractitioners not quite sure what the difference is. I had an osteopath many many years ago who used to treat my now late ex husband and he swore by him well I only went to him once and his thump bang wallop way of doing things nearly killed me and I swore about him. However I was recommended to another practitioner who was a manipulator and she was brilliant and where as after the first character I could hardly walk she helped me enormously, true it was slower and took quite a few visits but it certainly was preferred by my back. Now I just take painkillers and let it sort itself out. Tramadol and the right exercises sorted out my last lot of sciatica. My back has been bad again lately but I find walking Amber as long as she doesn't pull, sorts it out.

      Aloha everyone,

Woo, I gave up on osteopaths as they almost crippled me! One of the times I was off work for a week!

Now I have regular visits to a chiropractor and it helps to keep me mobile but he still has to be careful with the stretches he gives me. He knows there are certain things he mustn't do.

This morning it's very, very frosty but I'm hoping the bright sun is going to shift it quickly.

Last night, just before I went to bridge, I saw a blackbird was flying around like mad in the greenhouse trying to get out. I rushed out there to try and help him but he got even more frantic. So I opened the door wide and walked in and out of it a few times hoping that he would understand that it was a way out. I'll check soon to see whether he escaped.

My neighbour has a young lad that helps him sometimes in the garden and he'll be round today. The neighbour has asked if the lad can cut a few branches from two of my conifers, at a height of 15ft, because they are interfering with his broadband reception as they are rubbing on his telephone cable (the telephone pole is in our front garden and the cable runs through our trees to his house). This is the neighbour that is always helpful so I'll go out there and supervise him. :blue thumb:

The ducks that turned up in our garden yesterday haven't appeared today.

      Have a great day

      Aloha!

          Aloha everyone,

What a beautiful day yesterday :dancy:. We got lots done in the garden and I've started shaping the conifers, which is a difficult job. I hope to carry on with it if my muscles let me :heehee:. There's a lot of big jobs to do - mowing, hedgecutting etc. so I'll have to get going on those as well.

          Enjoy this wonderful Sunday

          Aloha!

            Aloha everyone,

Another beautiful day by the looks of it once the frost thaws away in the sunshine. My back is bad today so I'm afraid I shall not be able to get on and do any gardening the way things are. Have a good day everyone, God bless.

            Aloha!:wub2:

            Hi everyone,:cat-kittyandsmiley:

Just logging in to let you know I am still around(just).:eeew:

Done a back to back weekend of boot sales, and myself and the other half are knackered.:oopss:

Both of us have been in the wars health wise, me having a new tablet apparently the nerve ending are damaged in my fingers giving constant pain.

The OH took a tumble when we were shopping, and stubbornly would not go to see the doctor, now he has cellulitis and feels a wreck. So antibiotics again.:runforhills:

So he is back for blood tests on Monday, back to the doctor on Wednesday.

Still hope you are all well in your own little ways. Here's to hopefully not too cold a week to come.:sofa:

              Aloha everyone,

liliana, I'm sorry to hear that both of you are not too good at the moment. Cellulitis can be extremely painful and can be tough to get rid of. I hope you both feel better soon.:blue thumb:

Moyra, I hope your back is feeling a bit easier today. :)

And I wish all of you that are a bit under the weather a much better week this week. :grphg:

I don't ache too badly from all the work I have done this weekend so may give the pressure hosing a try this morning - if it isn't too cold. I'll give the paving just a quick going over so that it doesn't get worse (looks pretty mucky at the moment) and start on the long job of doing it better in a few week's time.

I've started tidying up the lawn edges that I cut in January. They should have been OK for the whole season but the snow and continual frost have made them a bit crumbly. It should only take an hour or two to do that and then I can get on with making the new edges on the rest of the garden.

              Have a great day

              Aloha!

I was out in the garden and GH earlier uncovering the potatoes and plants.....we didn't actually get any frost overnight here but you can't be too carefull with this unpredictable weather:rolleyespink:
Next job..refill the bird feeders.....the birds are working up an appertite with all this nest building....there are Stoggies,Bluetits,Chaffinches,Robins and Black birds all nesting in the garden:dancy:......

                Waves to all,
Have a great day and take care:SUNsmile:
