      Morning everyone,

Its still warm here but its raining, which we need, so its not so bad. Got some more gardening done yesterday, still need to get the manure spread though.

Off to Toronto shortly, so hope everyone has a great day!

        Aloha Everyone,

Here I am a last. Congratulations Penny on your news. Kandy and Shiney do be careful of your backs as it sounds as though you have both been pushing the limits. Well they tell me the pressures still up in my eyes, so am going to have to go back for a field vision test in 3 months to see how much my eyes have changed and if the pressure is still up then I shall have to put drops into my eyes again morning and night. Oh gosh I can do without that again, but failing that its an operation on certainly my right eye at least.

I hope everyone else is ok. The ambulance journey each way took over an hour and so I am now well tired and am going to siesta for half an hour or an hour. Take care everyone and enjoy the rest of your day. God bless.

        Aloha!:wub2:

              Aloha everyone,

We actually got some of the wet stuff last night :dancy: but there was so little of it that I was able to dodge between the drops . It's sunny again this morning so I shall get on with the gardening.

When I was taking the sprinkler to the bed by the road the soil was so dry that it was floating up as a dust cloud as I walked!!! I've done the front garden now so shall start on the back. I need to get the bean canes in but the ground is too hard so it will have to wait until it has had a good soaking.

I ripped out about 70ft of 60 year old heavy duty wire fencing yesterday. The bottom of it had been buried in the ground so I had to dig it out, cut it off the posts, cut it into manageable sections, dig out the fence posts and package it up to go to the dump.

Kandy, we're working hard at trying to get things ready and we have our fingers crossed that the garden will catch up and be in bloom for Open Day. I don't think the Aquilegias on the front will make it in time as they're only an inch high at the moment and a load of them seem to have disappeared . I hope the two of you are feeling well and are getting your lottie into shape. :blue thumb:

Keep well and have a great day

              Aloha!

                Aloha everyone,

Another glorious day here. I hope everyone is ok. yes Shiney it is going to be a bit of a shame that the aquileagas will all be behind for your open day but we can only bow to nature and what it has seen fit to provide us with in time. I am sure it will still be a great day.

Now I have done the patio troughs I still have the main gardening to do. Its all shrubs but as Shiney is saying it is all rock hard and dry. I don't think I can manage it on my own. So have asked Steve to give me a hand while he has no work on. Either that or I shall have to ask Simon, the groundsman who looks after the communial gardens if he can give me a day. Worth £100 - £150 to get it done. Wish I knew someone else local.

Kandy, Loli and Shiney and WOO, hope you will not overdo things and knock your backs up, that is why I looking to push my hard digging out. Take care everyone else too. God Bless.

                Aloha!:wub2:

                  Morning everyone,

Its sunny out here this morning, although lastnight after supper we did get some snow!! Most of our local golf courses open this weekend, and you can still ski or snowboard at Blue (lol)!!

I'm off shortly to get my manicure, and then have to go down to Toronto for Brad again, nice day for a drive with the sun out .

Anyhow....off to get some more coffee, so enjoy your day everyone.

It sounds like everyone is working hard!
It has been glorious here today. I had fun, I couldn't get my new compression stockings on ( they are like rubber :snork:) so at my appointment today the nurses tried and they couldn't either so now awaiting another order. Oh what fun.
Still hoping to get to yours Shiney but as you know we have added complications but fingers crossed.

                    Hi everyone,

Just a quick line, had a busy day, out early to Reading Hospital- have had a type of ulcer on my tongue since before Xmas, tried all sorts of things to make it go away, but to no avail. Dentist took one look, and said she was going to telephone the hospital, saw the man today- I have to have a biopsy and a possible removal of the ulcer across the edge of my tongue, looks like I have shall a lopsided tongue.

So feeling a little down this evening, still I am counting my blessings, things are worse for others.

So I shall close, and write a bit more upbeat tomorrow. :doggieshmooze:

                      Aloha everyone,

Lili, I hope everything goes OK for you :blue thumb:

We have, finally, got a little bit of the wet stuff - but it's only a very light drizzle.

I've got loads of paperwork to do and a magazine to edit. Then some shopping, cooking, a meeting and bridge. That should stop me from doing the heavy work in the garden :heehee:

Keep well and have a great day

                      Aloha!

                        Good morning everyone,

I hope everyone is on form today:dbgrtmb:
Jazmine i know those stockings can be very difficult to put on :phew:...i assist people at work with them and feel like i've done a work out by the time i've finished....i've found Shineys 'insideout' method the easiest:dbgrtmb:...if only my Mum had persevered with them she wouldn't be having the problems with her legs like she has now.....

Lili, chin up girl...the sooner it's sorted the better:thumbsup: i know it sounds like a daunting prospect but at least it will get put right....:dbgrtmb:

Took my Mum to the doctors yesterday, she's been having medication for 'vertigo' for several weeks now with little improvement and i think it's gone on for long enough.....the GP has referred her to a specialist...so hoping she'll be back on track soon:dbgrtmb:

Do go steady Shiney,i'm sure your garden already looks a treat and if we can just get mother nature on side everything will spring up nicely,it's suprising what a couple of weeks make in a garden....my garden is slowly transforming and is looking better each day:dbgrtmb:....it's a pity mother nature can't do abit more of the heavy work though...like earth up my potato's or give you a hand cutting all your lawns ;)

It's another lovely sunny start to the day here but there's a rumour of some heavy rain on the horizon....it will save me watering when i get home from work.....

Waves to all, have a great day and take care:SUNsmile:
