    Cross posted there Shiney.....

Mrs Shiney has always been marvellous with the birds hasn't she?:wub2:Even the wild birds have a special connection with her:dancy: i'd have loved to have seen her chooks....

Gladys,Hilda and May my first 3 'girls' were so obedient....no problems whatsoever....they would potter around, come and sit in the kitchen and listen to the radio...then get up go outside to the 'toilet' and then come back again...but the 6 i have now look to have ganged up:paladin: ....they even have the dogs on the run....i have child gates on the doors now to protect the dogs:heehee:...Yesterday while i was baking Violet (big girl she is) strutted up to the open door poked her head through the bars of the gate and gave me a right beak full...but i knew exactly what she was saying.....words to the effects of....." i'm going to go and lay an egg now so don't you even think of going to clean out my house before i'm finished"...sure enough she strutted off to her house chuntering away and 20 mins later she was back.... they are so comical but quite naughty sometimes...i wouldn't be without them though....
I could do with Mrs Shiney here to give them some training:dbgrtmb:

      Aloha everyone,

Happy Birthday to Mr Kandy on Monday and I hope he feels better once he gets his tablets. Have a good time at the wedding lets hope the wind drops for you all.

Shiney, they are beautiful photos, Hannah certainly has a way with creatures and humans alike. Hope this beautiful sun is bringing your flowers and plants on. They certainly seem to be doing mine. I want to get some more bags of soil today so I can repot on some plants that need it.#

Loli, yes the lunch was lovely yesterday, overate as usual, I shouldn't really have had the sweet, apple crumble and ice cream, yummy!

Have a lovely day all, Waves to WOO, Lili and Mum et al. God bless.

      Aloha!:wub2:

          Morning everyone,

Its sunny here, and supposed to be another nice day....no rain for the next few days.

I'm off to Toronto shortly, would rather stay home and play in the gardens, but gotta work.

          Enjoy your day everyone.

That doesn't surprise me Shiney, she is just ethereal, like Gladeriel, the elfen queen in Lord of the rings.

I am closing down now as I have to cover all my plants up and make them nice and cosy for the night. Bought a lot of compost, tomato feed and lawn feed as well as patch repair for once the lawn feed kills the moss. I also bought a whole lot of Spencer's mixed sweet peas. I shall put them in tomorrow. Steve has already put the canes up in two circles for me so I just have to plant the peas around the canes. Have a good evening everyone, Goodnight, God bless all. Off to the Goodnight Thread. [IMG]

After the bantams were no longer with us she had some Gerbils.

They used to sit in her pockets as well!! It was hilarious to see these two heads sticking above the pockets with their front paws gripping the edge of the pocket - just like 'Chad', for those of you that remember him. :heehee: The Americans pinched our cartoon character for their 'Kilroy'. :)

                  Aloha everyone,

Good morning Woo. That's good news that you're feeling good :dancy:. I've been on GC for a few hours with no trouble

Well! Yesterday reached the mid seventies and it looks as though it will do it again today :blue thumb:. At this rate the plants may catch up a bit :). I'll have to keep watering them or they'll slow down again because they'll be too thirsty.

I'll work on building my Shineyframe for the beans as the new canes have arrived.

Keep well everyone and have a great day

                  Aloha!

                      Aloha everyone,

Another lovely day. Got the plumbers here at the moment fitting a new shower pump, not an easy job as it is situated under the bath. Oh well I suppose they'll manage.

                      Have a good day all.

                      Aloha!:wub2:

                      Morning everyone,

Another sunny day here, so far...supposed to be little cooler this weekend but sunny, so that works for me!!

We plan on putting up our gazebo, if its too cool then we'll do it another weekend.

I have some deliveries for Brad today, no trips to Toronto, but i do have about 2 1/2 hours worth of driving to do.

                      Enjoy your day everybody.

Hi everyone, have had a lovely day out with OH as it is like a summers day here. We took a picnic and headed off out.
Still hoping to make yours Shiney but still waiting on news here. Will let you know as soon as we hear any more.
I decided in my wisdom to have one of these NHS checks that our surgery are now doing. First week bloods taken, second week BP, weight, urine and a "talk" I get home to a message on my answerphone telling me to ring the surgery (here we go again lol) who tell me the GP will ring me. Apparently my blood sugar level is above the top end of normal so now I am booked in for 3 hours at the hospital while they take blood and check my glucose tolerance. We really need to book a room there.

Jazmine, don't let them persuade you to go on drugs if it is only a little above what it should be. Offer to try and control it by diet and give yourself six months to do it.

It will mean cutting back on the sugary things (you'd be surprised what foods they are!) and increasing some others. Cut out chocolate, sweets, cake and biscuits except as treats. Just reducing weight can bring your sugar levels down considerably :blue thumb:. Eat high fibre foods so change from white bread to whole grain etc.
