      Aloha everyone,

I have just had a session on the back massager I bought for Steve. Very good. Feel like a herd of elephants have just walked over my back! No seriously it was good. Just makes me want to stretch and wriggle my muscles around.

I thought we were going to get some real rain but not seen it yet. Could certainly do with it now am not going to cut my grass as I want the grass to protect the lawn from drying out. I made what I think will be the last lot of coconuts shells this summer. I need to give my poor lilac tree a rest from dozens of starlings attacking it all the time. Also it will give the great and blue tits a chance to visit without hassle. I need to clear the wheat from growing under the tree too. So if there is no starlings coming in then maybe I stand a chance of clearing it up a bit for the summer before it gets the treatment again come the winter.

I hope everyone else's back are getting a chance to recover and Kandy hope your toes are too. Take care everyone.

      Aloha!:wub2:

        Good afternoon everyone,

I'm still hobbling around and am glad to say the bruising has started to fade a little at the base of the toe but still have the large patch on the foot.Managed a bit of a walk with Mr Kandy last night but he walks to fast for my liking so i think he is going to have to go on his own while i stay here with my feet up:snork:

I have found the start of a Goldfinches nest in the lower branches of my lilac tree, but am wondering if it is a young pair and they don't know the dangers of building a home low down in a tree.:frown: I have moved one of my Niger/Thistle feeders round to the front garden so they don't have far to go to feed themselves. Also had a pair of House Martins clinging to the eaves yesterday so lets hope they nest under there next year:dancy:

Shiney, glad to hear you had a good holiday with plenty of walking and sunny weather and the shopping sounds like my cup of tea:biggrin: It keeps spotting with rain here but then the clouds go over so i have now started to water the plants with the washing up water to save my water in the water butt for later on when we get the heatwave:snork:

Moyra,I have had to give up with putting nuts in my feeders as they have gone off of them, just prefering the fat balls and seed mix i put outGlad to hear the back massager is helping.

Woo,do you have breezy weather today down your way?If so be careful when you are flying because it can get pretty dangerous out there:rolleyespink:

Loli,i don't keep getting logged off but can't post photos from PB properly now.It keeps telling me the files are too large and it took me and hour to put that foot photo up the other day and they even have adverts on there now:mad:

        Have a good evening everyone:smile:

Hi Kandy, I'm pleased that you're getting better.

If you set your camera at a lower quality you'll be able to upload directly from the link below. I always do that. Have a word with Mr K as it's unlikely that you need your camera set on such high a size.

You would only really want to keep it set high if you wanted to do high quality prints. I keep mine set on the lowest quality, which for my current camera is 1.4mb. On my previous camera it was .6mb and still produced excellent quality on the screen.

The other advantages with lower settings is that you can get many more photos on your camera's card and the pictures take up a lot less space on your computer's hard drive.

          For Mr K's information:-

This photo was taken on Mrs Shiney's camera and it's set on the lowest setting.
It's 488kb image size 1600 x 1200 and it only took 14 seconds to download the photo.
          P1150570.JPG

My camera's lowest setting is:- 1.4mb and 2048 x 1536 and I can still download directly from the 'Upload a File' link below.

            Aloha everyone,

Woo, it's good to hear that you are on the mend. :blue thumb:

Well, the promised rain missed us again! We did have about half an hour of drizzle but it's very windy. So it's back to the sprinkler to keep the plants going. Mrs Shiney wanted to put some canes in the ground to support some plants but couldn't get them in because the ground was rock hard!

We have some friends coming over today who have just flown in from Hong Kong. So we'll be quite busy.

            Have a great day

            Aloha!

            Aloha everyone,

WOO glad your back is on the mend. Shiney it is raining here in the heavy wind but I don't think it is registering much on the garden. Enjoy your day with your company.
I am going to phone for an appointment for Steve to see the Doctor re his back as its about 5 or 6 weeks now and he has had very little improvement if any he takes one step forward and two back I'm afraid. My back is tolerable but then I am used to pain. I might have a go on the massager later.

Have a good day everyone, take care all. God bless.

            Aloha!:wub2:

            Aloha everyone,

Moyra, Steve really needs to get his back sorted out! I wish him lots better.

We had a good day with our friends. :blue thumb:. and got some more friends coming today for lunch - am doing roast chicken, yum yum.

Still no rain and I need to find time to get out there and mow as we're opening our garden again for a few people who said they missed the official opening. It'll only be for a couple of hours Saturday morning but I would like to get the lawns tidy.

I'll go out there soon to trim the edges and start mowing when it won't upset the neighbours.

Keep well and have a great day

            Aloha!

            Aloha everyone,

Shiney, enjoy your day with friends, glad yesterday went ok. Don't overdo things in the garden. I have left my grass I want the lawn to have a good soaking before I cut it again and I am going to higher the blade on the mower so that it doesn't take half the root system away!

Hope everyone is ok, Waves to WOO, Loli and Kandy and others who we do not get to see so often. Have a good day all.

            Aloha!:wub2:
