    Morning everyone,

Its sunny here for now, but might rain later, which we do need, but i did get the lawn cut yesterday but of course the weed wacker was out of gas, and i dont know how to mix it, so Brad can take care of that later.

Its been a busy week, thank god its Friday! I'm more or less home today, need to drive up the mountain to two Mennonite farms and pick up some parts for Brad, and need to buy a b-day gift, its our neighbors little boys 1st b-day tomorrow, we are invited to his party but not sure at this point if we'll go, and the neighbors on our other side, the ones that share our driveway are moving tomorrow!!!!!!!

Oh my god, i sooooooooooooooo cannot wait, they've been there for 6 years and are the biggest pains in the b@ss, cant stand them if truth be told....i have a bottle of wine chilling in the fridge with my name on it to celebrate!! If i liked them i might offer to help them, they have buddies coming in 3 trucks to move them, but since i cant stand them and havent spoke to them in over a month, I'll pass.....be funny to watch though.

Need to water the gardens but I'll hold off and see if it rains first, things are starting to grow....finally, the weather has been up and down here but its starting to stay warm.

Off to transfer a load of laundry into the dryer and get some more coffee, I'll try and pop in later.

    Have a great day everyone.

Hi everyone, pleased to say my little silver fiesta zetec passed it's MOT with flying colours. That is wonderful news and yet I do get things attended to as soon as they crop up. It is so special to me as Andy my cousin, who died recently sold it to me three years ago so I treasure it. I just should use her more often poor little girl. Everything I do apart from Shiney's open day tends to be short journeys and then when I get another trip which will give her run I have to give a miss because of my back, which seems much better today. I was not going to cut the grass until we had another good shower but it so badly needed it I had to go ahead and give it a cut this afternoon. Loli, I hope you get yours cut today too.

Penny, so glad that your neighbours are moving that you want rid of. A first birthday perhaps may not be the thing but just put your head in a little pressie and away! Will keep everyone sweet. Take care.

Time to think about dinner, was thinking I will do Steve his chilli prawns and egg fried rice, not sure what I shall have. Maybe just King Prawns and egg fried rice, not too keen on the chilli bit. Have a good evening all, God bless.

        Aloha everyone,

Penny, it sounds as though you have got rid of the nuisances next door. :dancy:

Moyra, well done with the MOT. :blue thumb:

Loli, it's very sunny at the moment, although pretty breezy. So it should be OK for the visitors - we don't expect many. I got all the mowing finished yesterday and half of the edges trimmed. Will finish the trimming this morning. Then, after lunch, I'm going to relax and make myself a Lamb Naga curry - yum yum :)

We'll be going off to see some open gardens tomorrow :dbgrtmb:. Hope to get some ideas - and a few cuttings

        Have a great day

        Aloha!

Loli, glad you got your lawns cut. I stopped taking my statins because of the cramp it was just too much for me.

Shiney, hope you enjoy your garden visit and collect lots of nice cuttings.

Kandy, hope your toes are nearly mended. Take care.

Have a lovely day all and enjoy the sunshine which keeps disappearing here.

Loli, you can make a good Naga curry using Mr Vikki's King Naga pickle. Don't use the Queen Naga as it just has more Naga and less of the flavour. King is plenty hot enough. They also sell Emperor Naga but it's nothing like an Indian curry and more like chinese (I'm not keen on it). I've not tried their Assam Naga Massala Curry Paste.

Here's a critic's mouth view of the King Naga

I just topped up my stock on Keswick market. :dbgrtmb:

In answer to your question:- Yes, I do takeaways but it's collection only :heehee:

                Good morning everyone,

Nice to read that you are all well and getting on ok now with back problems.

We popped over to the allotment yesterday afternoon to drop off some old grow bags that my father in law gave to Mr Kandy for spreading on the allotment and to have a look at how the fruit and veggies are doing as i havn't been over there for nearly two weeks.I was amazed at how fast the stuff is growing although the weeds are catching up fast.:gaah: I had a quick check on my mistle toe seeds that I spread on to the branches of my fruit trees and i swear one of them looks like it might be doing something so took some photos of them:hapydancsmil:As we were walking back to the car the heavens opened so we quickly got back in the car and left the hardy gardeners to it :snork:

I'm still hobbling around although the bruising is starting to fade but don't know whether i shall be able to get any gardening/allotmenteering done will have to see how i can manage to do a little bit:snork:

Anyway,we have had loads of rain so my waterbutt should be full now and at least the gardens have had a good drink:biggrin:

Have a good Fathers Day all those of you that celebrate it:smile:

Thanks for the Naga info Shiney:thumbsup:....looking foward to having a go at that....

Nearly had a disaster last night when putting the chooks to bed:rolleyespink:....off we all tootled with some grated cheese for thier supper but i failed to notice a Squeaker/Baby Stoggie/young Woodpigeon...in the run.....the 'girls' immediatley abandoned the cheese and pounced on the poor thing....luckily i managed to fight the chooks off and pick the poor Squeaker up before any real damage was caused....it got a quick kiss and off it flew.....then i gave the chooks a good talking to....actually i called them all the names under the the sun:old:.... and they went to bed in a huff....and so did i:biggrin:

Off to work now so have a good one everyone, take care:SUNsmile:

                      Aloha everyone,

Kandy, it's good that your toe is healing up :blue thumb:

The weather stayed nice and sunny for our garden visitors but the heavens opened during the afternoon. The garden loved it :dancy:

Last night we went to a charity show last night. They sang songs from the shows and some from the around the two world wars. There was a ploughmans supper served in the interval. We had a good time but the singing wasn't the best I've heard (very much an understatement :heehee:).

It looks as though the weather will hold up OK today.

Keep well and have a great day

                      Aloha!

We've got babies in our bird boxes and the parents aren't too keen if we get too close. So, yesterday, I stopped doing the lawn near them and went off to another area. I'm sure the lawn won't mind looking untidy.

The parents are busy looking for live food for their chicks and visiting our bird feeder, for a quick bite to eat, on their way out shopping :)

                          Aloha everyone,

Shiney, how lovely. Do they really worry about you mowing too near. I thought they would be used to it by now. I suppose it doesn't hurt to leave the lawn until the little ones have fledged. The sun is out here now. We sure got a lot of rain yesterday it filled my empty rain butts which was gratefully received.

Had to laugh at you Loli telling your girls off. I am sure they understand everything you tell them. As you say they went off in a huff that proves they know what you were saying.

Have a lovely day all, Waves to WOO, take care of that back WOO. God bless everyone.
