        Aloha everyone,

Moyra, I don't think the parent birds are bothered when I mow but they don't like me getting too close to the nests as my head would only be a few feet beneath them. They sit on branches of trees a bit further away and try to attract my attention away from the nests.

Loli, the Naga curry was wonderful (even if I say so my self :pathd:) and I have enough for two more days :blue thumb:. I used lots of onions, garlic and ginger and then added freshly roasted and ground spices. The Naga pickle added the oomph (technical chef's term :heehee:) and I used home grown tomatoes (from freezer) and fresh coriander. The lamb was on offer from Sainsbury's last week at £10 per kilo for boned leg of lamb (got more in the freezer :)) . I added potato and cauli to the curry to make up my meat and two veg :snork:)

Woo, Mrs Shiney has been planting lots of different perennial geraniums during the last year or so. The different types and colours are very rewarding. :dbgrtmb:

Yesterday we went to the open gardens in Bury St Edmunds and they were quite interesting. A lot of them belonged to businesses in the town centre and were small walled gardens behind their offices. Kristen joined us and we managed to do 17 of the gardens before having had enough. The weather was excellent and Mrs Shiney bought a load of plants!!!

I really must get on with the paperwork today. Lots of sorting and filing, accounts to do, paperwork to sort for the tax man and a seminar to prepare. I'm determined not to go out in the garden today so may have to be tied to my office chair.

        Have a great day

        Aloha!

          Aloha everyone,

Good morning WOO and Shiney. Shiney did not realize that the nest boxes were so low but I do recall seeing them now on our visit to shineyland. Well it is not worth risking the parents abandoning their babies is it.

So lots of paperwork for you to do day. It is suppose to be very warm outdoors today. It's not raining here so WOO keep it that side of the river please. My rain butts are full already and the grass is growing so fast it will need cutting again if it carries on the way it is. Too fast.

Have a lovely day everyone, God bless.

          Aloha!

They are a beautiful colour though WOO, I know it is not the same as wanting white but at least they are a strong blue.

                          Morning everyone,

Its nice and sunny this morning, but still a little on the cool side....supposed to be HOT this weekend, about time too, my poor veggie plants!!

Off this morning at 8am for an oil change, was supposed to go a couple weeks ago, but i havent had the time to get it over to Ford before now.

Plan on puttering outside when i get home, cut the lawn yesterday, so today I'll be weeding and edging the gardens.

                          Enjoy your day everyone!

                            Aloha everyone,

I did a little bit of work in the garden yesterday and then continued with all the piles of paperwork. There seems to be a light at the end of the tunnel now so I hope the tunnel doesn't suddenly get longer after Mr Postie turns up :)

It's another warm and sunny morning so I'd better get out there and do a few things.

Keep well and have a great day

It's a damp drizzley morning here but the garden needs it and looks to be enjoying it too plus the water butts are on empty and need 'refuelling'....so it's a good day for getting in the GH and checking over my tomato's:dbgrtmb:
