    Aloha everyone,

Another hottie. I shall be hibernating again. It seems that we are either hibernating because it is cold and wet or because it is OTT temperatures. Well stay cool everyone and look after yourselves in this heat. It is hard keeping our four legged friends cool.

Have a lovely cool leisurely day out of the sun. God bless.

    Aloha!:wub2:

'Many Happy Returns'Woo.Hope you have a lovely day and a great year ahead:wub2:

    Good morning everyone,
Still got warm weather here and yesterday I had to get the hosepipe out because my trees and buddleia are statrting to suffer in the heat and i would hate to lose them due to this weather. The grass in our front garden is now starting to shrink away from the path and going brown so we are using our washing up water to try and help everything keep going. One good thing about not having a dish washer:snork:

Shiney, the sun never came out on Sunday until 11.30am so we didn't have the heat for too long and had got our hats and was wearing shorts which helped.Your photo looks like you are all sitting in inside not outside so you must be sitting under some sort of cover:biggrin:

Hope Loli,Moyra, Mum,Lili and everyone are all ok and amanging to cope in all this heat.:spinning:

      Aloha everyone,

I've done some early morning gardening before it gets too hot. :blue thumb:

Woo, we're knocking on towards our 'Golden'. Not long to go :)

Kandy, it was on the terrace of the house they have rented for 23 years. It was built about a hundred years ago for the Commander in Chief of Singapore but no 'foreigners' are allowed to buy any of the old colonial properties. This is where we were sitting
      P1130845.JPG

It's a nice house, very big, but feels a bit dreary inside because there's not a lot of natural light getting in. Over here we welcome the sun coming into the house (maybe not quite so much at the moment) but over there the houses were built to keep the hot sunshine out.

I've got a lot of repairing to do to our hoses as they are leaking. It happens to be at the complicated part of the hoses where they all come together between the hose reels and the tap. I need to replace the whole section (only about 3 metres) but there are six connectors to be taken apart and refitted. That's not too much of a problem but the ones that connect to the hose reels are very awkward to get to as they never seem to leave enough room for your hands to get to the inside.

Keep cool and have a great day

      Aloha!

Shiney, you had the same problem with your hoses last year, this is becoming an annual ritual to sort them out especially at the top end nearest the tap.

Yep, good memory :blue thumb: :) Although I also had to replace the very old connectors. This time it was just two of the three sections of hose.

As it only requires short sections of hose (less than 2 metres) I've been using what was left of an old hose. I had thrown away what was no good and kept the sections that didn't leak. There is more pressure in those parts because they have a fairly short curve in them. down from the tap to the connectors and then curving up to the hose reel holders. I hope these bits last longer.

              Aloha Woo and everyone,

It's the early mornings that I like to remember as they are nice and cool and the birds are only just coming for their breakfast.

Summer isn't my favourite time of year but I enjoy it, nevertheless :). I just keep away from the heat :blue thumb:

Keep cool, keep well and have a great day - and be careful out there

              Aloha!

              Evening all,
Hope you are relaxing after a hot sunny and tiring day.

Been very busy in the garden.

Took my doggy Fred to the vets at 8.30a.m, he had to have his teeth descaled, first time in his 14 years he has needed any work, unfortunately he had to have 5 teeth out, he is still a bit drowsy, but he seems none the worse.

Just chilling out with a very cold cappuccino and watching 'Call the Midwife'

Hope you are all in the rudest of health.:doggieshmooze:

              Aloha everyone,

Lili, I hope your dog is OK :blue thumb:

It's going to be hot again today but I don't think it will reach 100F.

I'll be dodging in and out between meetings and trying to remain cool.

Keep cool and have a great day
