What a lovely cool morning....been doing some watering of my veggies before the sun gets cracking....it just shows how hot that sun is for although i've kept in the shade as much as possible apart from walking back and forth to the GH my shoulders and back look a little red this morning

Yes, a lovely cool morning here, but not for long, I think.

Fred is back to his usual self-managed to get him to take his antibiotics, hidden in some squished cheese.

Done my hoovering, and cleared some rubbish. Landlord coming over with engineer to do annual boiler check.

Going off at 8 to see my charge for a couple of hours.

Morning everyone,

Its another HOT one here, supposed to be this way until Saturday and then maybe i can turn down or turn off the AC, its way to hot to be doing that here today!! Yesterday here with humidity it hit *111!!!!!

I`m off today, no pickups or deliveries at all, but i do have my manicure appointment at 9:30, and then i need to do some grocery shopping as well.

Off to put some laundry outisde to dry, so enjoy your day everyone.

What happened there WOO I do not recall seeing anything about a fire. I take it if you are repainting the fence not too much damage was done unless you have already replaced panels etc.

I hope everyone else is ok. I have a scabbing on the side of my nose where my glasses have rubbed my nose sore in the sunshine. I have walked Amber and got a load of washing in the machine. I do hope it is going to be a bit cooler over the weekend. Someone said we could have temperatures reaching even higher next week. We certainly have gone from one extreme in Spring to another for Summer. Anyway please stay safe in this heat. God bless.

Just watered the pots, tidied up the tomatoes, taking off the leaves that are not needed.

Put the washing machine on, hoovered up. Just having toast and homemade lemon marmalade, a half banana and a nectarine.

Hope everyone is ok, and is taking care with the sun.

Woo.....i've just read the 'link'.........what a shock to come home and find that.....thankfully you got it contained....sounds like you've already got everything back in order....take it easy

Everyone sounds like they are up and doing before the heat sets in veggies ,GH and containers watered and myself too........bird baths all filled and topped the ponds up as the water is evaporating quickly too.....

I hope everyone is drinking plenty and trying to keep cool

Morning everyone,

Its yet another hot one here, supposed to hit around *108 today!!! Supposed to cool down a little this weekend, and i cant wait, this is soooooo hot!!

I have a hair appointment at 9 this morning and then have some deliveries for Brad to do, including a trip up to the Mennonites (2 farms).

May get some wicked storms rolling through later, hoepfully after i BBQ supper, then let it pour. I need to get outside shortly and cut the grass, its been over a week that its been cut, due to the heat but I've been watering like crazy.

Off to finish my coffee and then going out in about 20 minutes or so to cut the grass........soooo enjoy your day everyone.

 

Oh Good Heavens WOO. Sounds like you need a sprinkler going on the fence when it is this hot doesn't it. Well I hope you get the rest of the painting done. You couldn't have wanted it any worse than it was as it was bad enough. I hope your shrub survives. Fortunately, I have brick wall round most of my garden and the one bit that has fence panels the shrubs have now covered the panels up so I cannot even paint them now. Hope all goes well but mind that sun do not stay out in it too long. God bless.

Up early this morning as I had a mad moggy head butting me as I was trying to sleep because she was hungry so have had to get up to feed her

Havn't been on here much as I have had to keep going over to the lottie to water everything in the heat and on Thursday picked almost two carrier bags full of peas and then had to sit at home for hours on end podding them but have got three freezer bags full out of them so can't complain. It takes me over an hour just to pick the raspberries and there are still loads left but I am not bothering to pick the small ones,but if we had some rain they would get nice and big

It has been hot for us like for everyone and my acer is shedding it's crisped leaves despite my constant watering it.Hope it survives as I have had it over thirty years and it has taken that long to get a good size

The forecast is for even hotter weather next week but I think for us it will be a bit cooler,oh and they reckon fuel prices are set to go back up.Typical as I will be heading up north soon
