It's another grey start ,the sun didn't manage to shine yesterday and it looks like she'll have her work cut out trying to today.......at least the garden is getting a bit of respite.....i've got the watering done and i think a bit of weeding wouldn't go a miss:blue thumb:

Have a lovely day everyone and take care:SUNsmile:

      Morning Woo,Loli et al,

Yeah found my extra large smile in the drawer, Thought I would leave the small and medium for other days.

Bit overcast, but that was like yesterday, then the sun popped out at lunchtime.

Visits to dentist and vets today- both for teeth.

Have a lovely day .Take care with the sun.:spinning:

Good morning Woo Loli and everyone,

We actually got a little bit of rain Saturday night but don't think it was heavy enough to do any good and then had a very light spray yesterday when it was dull but thaqt last all of ten seconds and then was dull for the rest of the day:snork:

Shiney,we don't shop at Sainsburys as it is too expensive for us but did notice the lamb was £7 a kg so slightly more than your offer and they wanted £10 for a piece of brisket:eeew:We would be better off doing what most youngsters do these days and eat out either at Macdonalds or Pizza Hut etc:snork:

I was trying to have a lie in this morning but got Popped again so ended up getting up :yawn:and have noticed it is misty out there this morning but it will be hot again today me thinks :snork:

We picked more raspberries, peas and our first broad beans yesterday and won't be long before we are picking the first runners so it is all go at the moment:biggrin:

Have a really good day everyone in all that you do:spinning:

          Aloha everyone,

Woo, I've got my smile out, dusted it off and am wearing it :)

It's bright and sunny here and has, just, hit 70F. The forecast is for it to hit the 90'sF this afternoon :hate-shocked:

Kandy, I just checked and the lamb was £5.49 per kg. I don't buy their brisket because they take all the fat off and the fat is needed when making salt beef. I would eat at MacDonalds and Pizza Hut but I like to eat meat :lunapic 130165696578242 5:

As it's going to be so hot today I won't do anything in the garden - apart from watering. Don't think I could do anything anyway as my muscles hurt too much from doing too much conifer cutting on Saturday! It's a good ache - I keep trying to persuade myself :snork:

Yesterday was a good day at our friend's, with eight of us there for lunch. We ate outside and we were accompanied by the bees sniffing around the salads and fruit :). Fortunately they have a nice shady corner in their garden and there was a light breeze to help keep us cool.

I hope we get the thunderstorms forecast for tomorrow. :blue thumb:

Keep cool and have a great day

          Aloha!

Just heard on the radio that The Duchess of Cambridge has been taken to hospital in the early stages of labour so looks like we shall soon have a new Princess/Prince.Good job the weather has turned cooler unless it is still swealtering in London:snork:

            Aloha everyone,

Going to be another stinker and steve is desperately trying to fit the stupid hose adaptor to the sink tap in the bathroom, we shall have to get a proper tap installed, rented accommodation or not. Can't have this is we are going to have long hot summers. Lot of swearing coming from the bathroom as the cowboys who did this bathroom up haven't secured the taps. Still he has managed it and I have watered all the pots and have now left the sprinkler on the back lawn for a while.

I hope everyone is going to keep cool somehow or other today when temps hit 34c hot enough for the devil. Do take care everyone, God bless.

            Aloha!:wub2: 236724.gif

            Morning all,

Well no rain yet, some lightening during the night, but nothing else.

Very muggy, cannot wait for the weather to break.

Still waiting for my tooth extraction, dentist was chocca yesterday, got an appointment for today. Fred my dog, got the ok from the vets as well.

Go to be busy today, got a garage to clear out, it just seems to be a muddle, everything needs to bagged up into order.

So whilst it rains today, it gives me a chance to get jobs done in the house.

Hope everyone is safe, and well.:doggieshmooze:

                Aloha everyone,

Well I expected it to be cooler after the thunderstorms we have had. Two very large ones. The first one brought two cracking thunderbolts followed by a lot of hailstones, the second large one again brought a couple of thunderbolts and then some rolling thunder but some decent rain . we have had some steady rain since too. Managed to find an opening for taking Amber for her walk thankfully as I was a bit worried about using my rollator which I am apt to do these days instead of a crutch. Either way it is using metal to get about not ideal in lightning conditions. At least Amber didn't seem to perturbed by the noise of the thunder for which I am grateful. I feel so sorry for dogs that are terrified of thunderstorms.

Well have a good day everyone we can put our hoses away at last. Stay safe. We now have flooding problems. God bless.

                Aloha!:wub2:

                Good morning everyone,

Lovely shot of that ligtening bolt Loli, and it is fantastic that you have caught it so well:love30:

We had a really bad night two nights ago what with the heat despite having a fan on during the evening and ovenight and then had storms which went on from around 10ish until nearly 7am so ended up feeling quiet exhausted yesterday but at least we had lots of rain which has filled up my waterbutt and has watered the lottie and gardens so now perhaps my Acer will stop shedding it's leaves:dancy:

Picked more peas which i podded yesterday and found quiet a few of them had pea moth maggots in them so had to sort through the pods which made the task even longer than normal.Have also picked loads more raspberries and in one way will be glad when the summer ones have finished as it takes ages to pick them but at least they will go down well on me porridge throughout the months as they are all nicely stowed in the freezer and will save us some money by not having to buy them from the shops:cool:

Sunny here today and i think it is going to be dry so have the washing machine on and then will spend some time doing house tasks and gardening:biggrin:

                Have a good day everyone:spinning:
