C'mon folks, no need for anyone to feel that things are getting to them.

@Upsydaisy - having had the pleasure of @KFF's company around here for a number of years, I am sure that he would not have intended his post to come across as a dig at you, and equally @KFF I am sure you know that nobody was having a dig at you either.

Life is too short for anyone to be feeling bad - let's just get along and get back to a good old natter, eh?

 

OK, not to put too fine a point on it - if you think that someone is having a dig at you, then press the blue report button that is at the bottom of the post that contains the 'dig' and let the staff team take a look and make a decision. Do not respond on the thread as this will only escalate matters, and make it look as though you are the one having a dig.

Please also bear in mind that one of the biggest problems with internet forums, chat rooms or even emails is that when something is down in text it quite often sounds absolutely fine in the head of the person who is writing it (because they are writing it in their own voice), but for the person reading it, it may sound completely different. Neither the person writing it or the person reading it is wrong under those circumstances, it is purely interpretation. Finally, please remember that if you are already of the mind that someone 'has it in for you' you will then be reading all of their posts as though they are a potential pop at you.

 

Nobody is going anywhere - we are all part of the big GC family, and sometimes there are misunderstandings as there are in any big family; what we do is sort things out and move on with a smile.
