Hi all, hows your day been and what you been upto?, hope you’ve not had the bad weather?

 

Hi @moyra and @Flumpy , hope all is good with you both.
Had a pretty busy day today. We had friends over at 9am for coffee, cake and present exchanges. Then we picked up my older sister and we went into town to do the fresh food shop, went back to hers for a coffee afterwards. Back home for lunch , had a baking session, while the oven was doing the cooking I managed to do the ironing. I have just finished knitting the infinity scarf I made as a pressie and last on my list for today is to send a Christmas email to my cousin in Canada.
I only have 7 things on my 'to do' for tomorrow.. so far!!
Is it G & T time??

 

Good morning all, Have a good day. I lost a day this week I was convinced yesterday was Sunday. I was supposed to go to the nurse at 10 yesterday but because I thought it was Monday today I was going this morning. I shall just have to apologise. I feel robbed of that day.

Oh dear you sound like me!!! It's so easily done though especially since packing up paid work. Once our 'boys' arrive later today I think we will live in total confusion for the next week!!
Never mind I'm sure the nurse will understand. Hope all goes well.

Just in case I don't get a chance to look in tomorrow , once again....

Christmas Eve. Beautiful day, 19c with intense blue skies. Friends came over for drinks and mince pies and her 80-odd year old father visiting from Chichester whom we have met before. Sat indoors with a log fire and the windows open! Father and son in law (our friend) ex London cops. Lots of laughter.

Odd me being here I know ... but I started this thread about 13 years ago!

Not much gardening going on here , work has been very busy & there’s the hen group I admin for...gracious that can be hardwork!

I went to see my niece & nephew last night, they were so excited I only encouraged them a bit to jump up & down & run around.....then it was time for me to go! Family here today, I haven’t got my youngest brother he’s still not in my good books, he needs to learn some manners & I think his behaviour needs to improve somewhat, never mind he will grow up one day!?!?

Kev is still busy at work which is of course good.

my cat is starting to show signs of his age (he’s 24) he’s a bit arthritic now but he gets around ok & is still having three monthly blood tests to check his thyroid, his thyroid tablets are still working.

The hens are all ok, they have a run now, we still have a fox in the village.

We are having a brilliant day , helped considerably by the fabulously sunny weather.

Had a great morning over at my Dad's with the rest of the family joining us there.

Just had our yummy Christmas dinner and are chilling a bit before going for a walk.
