      I know alerts by email are sometimes erratic - so am I :heehee: - but your 'alert' in the top right hand corner should come up as long as you have set your 'Alert Preferences' correctly. :dbgrtmb:

            @wiseowl, @shiney and @Flumpy...both types I miss out on. I did get a forum alert for Flumpy's post but not for Moyra's and Verdun's earlier ones today. This often happens , forum alerts are very random .....for me anyway.:noidea:

              You sneaked in while I was writing upsydaisy :), I get my alerts fine on the forums, it my email (inbox) that seem to be random, but I just keep checking in anyway :spinning:

                My email ones are very hit and miss @Flumpy , I usually try and rely on the forum notifications but as I said they're not always reliable either :sad:

                  As far as I know the 'Alerts' will only show up if someone puts the @ symbol before your name so @Upsydaisy will work but Upsydaisy won't.

                  I have my Alerts turned on but only allow emails for PM's (Conversations). To see the threads I'm involved in I simply click on 'Watched Threads' and it will bring up new posts on those. When I've dealt with those, if I have time, I then click on 'New Posts' and it will bring up those that are new but I'm not currently involved in. It seems the simplest way for me but others do it differently.

                  It's another very sunny day today and I shall just potter around outside.

                  I got a fair amount done in the garden yesterday and my cold has eased up but has gone to my chest :doh:

                    Good morning all my friends how are we this morning full of Bouncability I hope;) its a lot cooler outside but in Woos nest with the walls pumped up with lots of little balls and fibreglass in the loft in very warm:heehee: enjoy your day and keep smiling:smile:

                        It's a strange one....I have post alerts for @Flumpy ( my name was not mentioned) and yours @shiney but not for @wiseowl or @moyra today..

                        Only one email alert ( flumpy)

                        Use to get alerts to all 'watched threads'.

                        No worries , I'll just have to keep checking out all the threads of interest.

                        Off to the cinema to see Yesterday....really looking forward to it as I absolutely loved the Beatles music!

                        I met the Beatles only once. The conversation was surreal :rolleyespink:. They were just like the conversations with my friends, taking the pee out of each other all the time :heehee:
