Good morning everyone. @Upsydaisy, I do feel for you I really do! If you are not careful it will be you that needs nursing and who is going to step forward to do that? You tell your Dad that nobody's going to be hurt or die if his garden doesn't get done. Everyone's in the same boat. How much longer do you have to care for your sister is there no social services care supplied. Have a good day everyone, take care and stay safe and well. God bless. :wub2:

      Aloha everyone,

@Upsydaisy sorry to hear of your problems. Did you tell your dad he was being unreasonable and that you have other priorites? I'm sure it can be said in a nice way. :grphg:

According to the forecast we should be deep in rainwater by now but it hasn't happened yet.

An extremely busy day today with visitirs all morning and then friends for dinner this evening. I've got my chef's hat and pinafore ready :heehee:

Keep well and have a great day

      Aloha!

      Good morning folks :)

Blue sky, a tad cooler and very pleasant summer day to come:)

Sacked Upsy. Take it to a tribunal. I’ll be your advocate....I’m pretty good at such things. Your time, your expense, your emotional distress, etc., etc.
Seriously though, I understand your reaction esp under the circumstances :)

A mixed morning....a meeting to determine where my brother goes from here, viz., a hospital bed......and then a garden fete. Run by a long standing friend ...she is very persuasive....and I have been roped in to produce photos etc of my garden. I hate to show off but needs must :hapfeet:and all for a good cause; hey! More importantly, lots of cakes, pasties, pies and more goodies:partytime: I will be taking down a few plants to help with raising funds.

      Enjoy your day :)

Morning all :spinning: it’s grey but very warm here, I’m off for a week now, so hoping to get plenty of gardening done, just off to the garden centre now as one of my hanging basket plants have died, I found out why, when I pulled one of the becopas out there where tiny grey warms on the routes, not sure where they come from, I used all purpose compost.

Upsydaisy I wish I could help you, if I lived close by I would help with the gardening while I was off, just so frustrated for you, try and squeeze some me time in, even if it is just a relax in the bath :dbgrtmb:

                        Aloha everyone,

We managed to get a lot done in the garden yesterday as it turned out sunny and warm after a cold morning. My back was sufficiently better for me to be able to mow the main lawn. I picked enough beans for us and our guests tonight (first proper picking) but I can't see there being enough this year to be able to sell any. :wallbanging: Last year I raised £500 for the charity, in bean sales, and actually planted a few more plants this year than last. Not only will the charity be very disappointed but so will all my regular customers. :dunno: On the other hand, I've taken almost £500 on honey sales so far  - which is better than last year.

Lovely weather today so hope to get a bit more mowing done. I have to go back into town to help Barry out again today and this evening I'm cooking, impromtu, for visitors. My brother-in-law had a quadruple heart bypass on Saturday and is now out of intensive care. Some of the family are visiting this afternoon (Papworth heart unit at Addenbrookes) so after their visit and journeys we've invited them all round for dinner. Apparently it's a good three to four months recovery time and he needs to get better as quickly as possible as they're booked on a tour of Argentina and Chile in January for his 80th - the biggest holiday they've ever had.

Keep well and have a great day

                        Aloha!
