    Good morning folks :)

Blue sky as I write this and (temporarily) dry but lots of overnight and early morning rain. Stormy later ....unusually strong winds for this time of year not nice for the holiday makers
Lawns looking lush now and the rain is needed
Mini earthquake in Cornwall yesterday merely added to the :rain:
Take care over the next couple of days everyone :)

Was it really 20 years ago we had the solar eclipse??:noidea:

          Good morning everyone .
What a night that was!!! Had a quick look and everything seems OK but will go and have a closer inspection in a mo.
It's so scary when the wind is so strong and the noise levels were terrific. Laid in bed and was planning our escape route at 2:30 am in case the really huge tree outside our bedroom window came crashing over the house.:yikes: Needless to say ...it didn't!

Just had a blast of lovely sunshine but was followed by a short ,sharpe heavy shower.

Border planning for next year will probably be the best 'garden' job to do today. :dbgrtmb:

@Flumpy at least you can save a few pennies and skip the blow dry bit!!:heehee:

          Keep safe everyone.:)

            Good morning folks :)

Taking a couple of boxes of chocs into hospital this morn for the nurses there....brother will leave there on Monday :)

Relieved to note no damage in the garden....I took some large flowers off tallest dahlias to minimise wind damage yesterday. I’ll have a closer perusal later this afternoon ......still windy though.

Already a couple of potted plants been taken by an eager early bird neighbour ........got too many plants in containers so keen to get rid of some of them.

            Enjoy your day everyone :)

              Aloha everyone,

Barry was able to come out to lunch for his birthday and we had a good one. :blue thumb:

                      Good morning....er afternoon...folks :)

Gave away 2 more containerised plants today.....they are growing in the garden anyway only bigger and better out there :)

Sympathies Flumpy .....would it be an uplifting thing to plant something in your garden for your friend? Maybe something that comes good at this time of year? I do this now and then.....the scent of hyacinths for example remind me of my young sister who loved them; she died 24 years ago. Small things like that can lift us I think :) Just a thought :)

Hello everyone hope you are all well now and keeping warm and dry. So many branches have fallen just beyond our flats and there is a lot more dead branches up there makes it dangerous to cross onto the green to walk Amber. The Council are responsible and need to do a big job of taking down the boughs that are dead before they fall on someone.
Have a good day all, stay warm and dry and above all things stay safe and well, God bless.:wub2:

It's mild outside and I was out there at 5.30 watering and doing just a little weeding. For a change, I have nothing in my diary so don't need to rush to do things. :blue thumb:

Morning all, greyish start today with rain predicted for this afternoon.
Busy old week this week, we seem to have appointments here there and everywhere!!
Have an early one in town but want to wait a bit to avoid the horrors of morning rush hour along The Avenue.
                              Have a lovely day.:)
