                Good day
                Sounds like everyone is in good cheer today. Last night's pig roast's guest of honour was a 110 pound porker. It was interesting to see it all roasted up. The birthday boy has a home on approximately 3 acres or so. I am lousy at judging the size of land but I believe that is close. Wish I had taken my camera. They have a huge pond which featured dozens of pretty water lilies. The hostess also has 35 chickens - all quite lovely.

                Today I am off for a tour of a place called Montgomery's Inn - most of you would consider it a new building as it is only about 175 years old - followed by tea.

                Before I go though, I must finish cleaning the house. Just have the kitchen left and I can listen/watch the Street while I am tidying and washing the floor. I have time to bake some bread too.

                Play safe everyone - we don't want to be laid up in the good weather!

                          I am late checking to see how everyone is because I... well, I have no excuse. I was playing outside and just plain forgot!

                          I furtled a little today and then put some mesh over the side louvers in the greenhouses. Last night I caught a red squirrel (not nice ones like yours, these are nasty little invaders from over the border) in one of my greenhouses munching on strawberries. I had thought the louvers weren't open enough for him to sniggle in but he did manage it. I don't think he'll get through the mesh but in the meantime I am setting up traps for that wascally varmint...

                          I hope everyone had a safe day and you are now enjoying a relaxing evening among the lovely scents of your gardens :)

                              Looks dull and promises rain but quite mild out there. :dbgrtmb:

                              I've picked raspberries for breakfast. We never planted them but they've grown up by our laurel hedge in the front.

                              I'll pick some rhubarb later for sale at the club this afternoon.
