    Aloha everyone,

I'm just hanging around trying to decide how early I can start mowing. I want to do it before it gets too hot. Also, as the lawn is covered in clover I don't want to harm the bees. They seem to get more active during the day.

Friends coming this evening so I'm planning what to cook. I'll think about it for a little while - whilst mowing :heehee:

Keep well and have a great day

    Aloha!

        Good morning all!
I'm sitting on the patio in the cool of the morning, listening to a red squirrel raiding the neighbours' hazelnut tree, and the sound of empty shells raining down on the edge of the patio. There are worse sounds to drink your coffee to!

            Good morning everyone
I am looking forward to my 5 Corrie street episodes this morning. I usually do some baking and cooking while I'm in the kitchen following the stories. :)

@"M" I broke my foot. I figured I had done something to it about a month or so ago and was hoping it was minor and would heal by itself however the bones at the side of my foot have been busy pushing outward and becoming more displaced. So I get to have a walking cast - it is one that can be removed for bathing and sleeping but I was absolutely devastated when I saw how noticeable it is. I was hoping for something a little more subtle not a big honking attention getter.

Play safe and don't be like me! :heehee:

                  Goooooooooood morning fellow WW'ers! :spinning:

I'm optimistic for a better day today than yesterday. Yesterday began with the demise of my White Sussex, Agnes. Now, I don't have an incinerator anymore and that is the only way DEFRA states you can dispose of hens ... :think2: ... I did buy a BBQ last week ... ... so, spent some time working out if it was ethical to use the BBQ as an incinerator in this instance. Couldn't dally with the thought too long because I had to get to work. Left Mr "M" to deal with it.

Think the heat is getting to people's fuses and shortening them ... considerably! :th scifD36: A good handful of people decided I would be a good target for their short fuses (despite the fact I had no control over their "issues" ). I smiled (hopefully in the right places), kept a tight rein on my own fuse, listened, empathised where I could :comfort: and left at the end of the shift ( 1 hour late!) feeling completely drained!! :thud: I drove home listening to the Rag and Bone Man track "Human" and singing at the top of my voice ... "I'm only human after all ... don't put your blame on me ..." I hope I didn't scare the sheep as I went past :shhhhh:

Arrived home and Mr "M" had cooked a meal which I was very grateful for (he's no chef) until I saw the plate: :th scifD36: roast chicken! :shakehead:

:heehee: Sorry Lori but that really made me laugh! Healing vibes winging their way to you for your foot and wishing you a speedy recovery ... from the devastation of the in-your-face walking cast :comfort: :heehee:

Miles of smiles and positive vibes for all

                      Aloha everyone,

Hot and sunny again already :phew:

@"M" Incinerating is not the only option :blue thumb:(ignoring dinner :rolleyespink:) as you're allowed to bury a pet at home. Of course, you would then have the Ozzy problem  unless you have a part of the garden that he can't get to. Dogs are very good at disinterring!

@CanadianLori If you do that, do you automatically qualify as a bag lady? :rasp:

Keep well and have a great day

                      Aloha!

@wiseowl thanks for the link. how is Mrs Woo? Just planted up a lot of snapdragons in pots and some old fucshias from last year. Kept the spring bulbs in and the polyanthus, i usually take them out,i didn't want to do too much, because of my knee.I know the voting is over for a bit, but i always do a Postal vote.

                          Thank you @Zigs
Thank you @shiney - from what I know, DEFRA do not distinguish between garden hens and poultry farms and do not consider them under the heading of "pets" either  Mr "M" assures me Agnes was not on the plate (like I needed reassuring! :heehee: ) and one of our neighbours has planned a bonfire in the next day or two anyway: win-win!
Ozzy isn't permitted in the hen area (they get their own area at the back of the garden) because, even though he wouldn't hurt them, he does seem to view them as toys. I still have the image in my head of Ozzy running around our previous garden with a hen in his mouth and he was even smiling! Clearly the hen wasn't  but he did drop her on command and she ran off squawking without any break to her skin or any other damage. Ozzy came to heel with a mouth full of feathers though  :heehee:

                              Good day everyone
I was all set to get started on a project but after unrolling the bolt of fabric I discovered the yardage was short and someone had cut a chunk out of it as well- this is the second shipment that was not acceptable. The poor client is in for a long wait... :(

Have some errands to do for my sister as she is not well and needs my help. So at least I don't have to feel bad about not working..

Play safe and enjoy your day :)
