Yawn yawn, wakey wakey summer (or is it) 2017

Good Sunday morning everyone ,this morning getting an early start and I am walking to Shornemead Fort along the Saxon shore which runs along the banks of the River Thames,with my camera,sunday lunch is all prepared,Penny as already been for her morning constitutional ,Mrs Woo and Daughter have been fed and watered and have everything they will need I shall only be gone a couple of hours or three at the most,I have my mobile so they can reach yours truly if they need to,that's it really have a lovely Sunday and take care my friends

It will be busy today with trying to finish tidying the garden for tomorrows tour as we don't have much time today. I've got a lot of prepping of food for guests today (lunch, tea and dinner). I'm just about to order some French sticks from the village shop. They should be ready to put them in the oven soon.

Good morning all my friends my grandchildren (8 &6)will be here to day they are spending a week with their Grandad ,I've been looking forward to it for ages,so I am excited to say the least,they are staying at the static caravan in Allhallows,have a lovely day and keep smiling

@wiseowl It looks as though you're going to be kept busy all week but I'm sure you'll enjoy it.

We had a very busy day with gardening in the morning and guest from midday to midnight. I was slaving over a hot stove for a large part of that time Sarafi, who usually wanders around with his nose in the air decided that he would take over the group. He moved from lap to lap (never done that before) and had a sleep in each one.

I've got more gardening to do this morning. A couple of hours mowing and about an hour of edging before I do a 'pernicious weed' patrol. We have a U3A group coming round for afternoon tea and a tour of the garden. I picked load of beans yesterday (about 20lb) but left as many as I could so that we could show off the good crop still waiting to be picked. After they've gone I'll pick about another 20lb.

I think that I'll need to get a man in to service our cooker. There's a fan in one of the ovens that operates whenever the ovens or grill are used in order to vent out some of the excess heat. It has started to rattle and I think that the main oven won't work if that stops. It's difficult finding someone willing to service a gas range.

@moyra no rain allowed today as Mrs Shiney has her local horticultural show. I've got to help her take her entries there. I think she's entering about two dozen categories. She's been too busy to really work on it this year so I don't think she will do as well as usual. Last year she got 19 awards (year before was 22)!
