Yawn yawn, wakey wakey summer (or is it) 2017

Good day everyone
I had thought my day would be one of puttering around but it has turned out that I shall be very busy.

I have a granddaughter with me for the day and a grandson in the hospital for a surgical procedure plus I have loads of legal documents to revise before my son can file them. Then I need to go to my friend's place and start up his car to keep the battery going and move out a few bits of kitchen furniture which I shall bring back and put in my cellar.

My granddaughter wants to learn the tarot so I have set up a video for her to get her watch and then we can practice together. Lots of fun

The sprinkler system is just finishing it's cycle - although it turns out we got a heavy downpour in the night and I didn't need it after all. Lawn furniture cushions got a good wash. Their Sunbrella so bulletproof

Hello Shiney, like most people I hate funerals and decided a number of years ago not to attend any more.

A very good friend of ours died a while back and he'd stated he didn't want a funeral. He was taken to be cremated by the funeral company in a low key affair with no mourners. His wife was in total agreement with his wishes and wants the same for when its her turn.

Congratulations Mrs. Shiney I don't enjoy funerals but I have no issue with attending them... even though that person won't be coming to mine I've seen some pretty amusing goings on while paying my respects.. and quite often there are great snacks too

I have a lunch for two made and ready to pack in the powered cooler. I'm heading up to Georgian Bay to spend the day with a friend on the sandy beaches of Wasaga. And as a bonus, we are being given a beautiful sunny day to enjoy it!

I hope everyone has as pleasant a day as I'm anticipating - and play safe!

We are having another sunny morning which guessed to be blotted by clouds this afternoon which clouds will in turn provide more free water. I need to get a small leak in the rain barrel repaired before it pours so that I can get full benefit of the freebie

Yesterday was a lovely day at the beach with my friend. I took a picnic lunch of summer pizza, pasta salad, tuna salad & crackers and various liquid libations for my friend and ice cold water for me. Also had a pleasant drive home. Decided to zig zag my way back and landed up driving along some nice, curvy, hilly, picturesque roads. And I didn't get nabbed for being a little over the posted speed limit

She wants me to go along for an adult camp on September 1st- lots of watersports and rock climbing and I would dearly love to go but I know my foot is not ready for that kind of activity yet. And then she told me it is a 6 1/2 hour drive each way - also hard on the gas pedal foot - so that pretty well squashed that idea at get go. Maybe next year...
