Another busy day, into town to get a few bits and bobs, then setting up for the show this afternoon

If it's not ripe now, it aint going in

Set up today, judging tomorrow morning, no entries allowed on showday, but we can check exhibits at 7am tomorrow, just in case a badger has been in the tent overnight and eaten the lot Now you know why I don't enter sweetcorn

 

Good day everyone
We had a nice rainfall for about 1/2 late yesterday afternoon which saved me from having to water all of the outdoor plants. Right now it is blue skies again and the temperatures are now predicted to be in the mid 70's during the day for the next week. How pleasant is that!

Today I shall be installing a shade I made, then taking my OH to pick up his truck from the repair shop and having done these by lunch, it will leave me a good part of the afternoon to play outside.

The morning was beautiful here, with sun rising through the mist. Walking in the park early in the morning was brilliant! Sadly then had to go to work, but we discovered a new market a twenty minute walk from work. It took us down some windy back alleys and seeing some lovely old Victorian and Georgian townhouses and large flats, then out into chaos again! Weird to see so much change in a short walk. They had a falafel stall which did amazing falafel - will definitely be back!

@Zigs sounds like it is going to be a fun fair with lots of attendance

I have a busy day coming up because tomorrow is what I call "everything" day as far as waste removal. It is green bin (unlimited number allowed for food waste) brown bag (unlimited number allowed for garden waste) rubbish (3 bag limit) and large item (3 item limit) pick up day tomorrow so I would like to gather as much of the above together and out by the kerb. I don't really have much in the line of large items- this includes things as big as a sofa or mattresses - but I do have a worn out old broom that I might as well toss now. Yes, it had a lot of "air miles" on it.. My gardens are looking very straggily so I will get together a brown bag of dead heads and other eyesores too. Love to have a good clean out.

My sister is also coming by at some point and we usually enjoy a cuppa and a game of scrabble. I hope stay sunny so we can play outside.
