    Good morning all my friends hope you are all feeling in fine fettle and rarin to go,the powers to be say that it will be 30c to day which will be great for a holiday Monday,,I think I will take my camera out to day anyway I digress have a simply spiffing day and keep smiling my friends:smile:

      @Beckie76 It's good to see you on here as we've missed you. I hope things are going OK :wub2:


      Yesterday went very well with all our guests although all of them that said they were just 'popping in for a cuppa' ended up staying until 11 p.m. Fortunately I had made a big spag. bol. for supper. :)

      It was much too hot to eat lunch outside and I got rather hot doing the cooking (even with the air-con going in the kitchen :rolleyespink:. Two ovens, a grill and six hobs all working at the same time was a bit more than the air-con could cope with successfully :phew: Having the window open would have been a waste of time with the temperature outside at 82F and I lowered the blind as the sun was pouring in.

      The food was dished up and I left the wait staff (Mrs Shiney :heehee:) to serve it whilst I went and had a wipe down with a cold cloth and then a change of clothes. I then strolled into the dining room all cool and collected :whistle:

      A very hot day forecast today and I've already got the sprinkler going as the plants are quite unhappy with the lack of water. Hopefully Michael will turn up today :scratch:

          Another hot day here, hope its enough to dry me plums out before it clouds over again :fingers crossed:

          Got an old friend coming down today, so will have to find something to keep us in mischief :)

                Steve has had fun cutting back the ivy this morning and sliced through my television and broadband cable. Fortunately we found enough bits and pieces to re-establish a connection. Virgin are going to come out to do the job properly on Wednesday afternoon.

                        Well, Michael didn't turn up yesterday as his brakes packed up on him. :doh: His vehicle is now in the garage being fixed and he says he'll get his dad to drop him off today :th scifD36: I think it would have been too hot for him yesterday anyway as he has some heavy work to do.

                        What??? Is it the 24th of March already? :snorky:
