Yawn yawn, wakey wakey summer (or is it) 2017

According to our local weather map it's raining heavily here. They obviously haven't looked out our window! Send it over @wiseowl

Michael turned up, in his truck , at 10.10 a.m. (early for him) and at 11 a.m. told us he had just received a call from his cousin saying he needs help to finish a couple of jobs he's doing! He'd already done a two of the jobs we'd set him - digging out a 40+ year old shrub with roots down to Australia and shaping a very large Choisyia (8ft high & 5ft diameter), and was working on shaping one of the conifers (big job). I said he could go as long as he finishes the conifer first. His cousin came along to give him a hand and it was done by 11.40 (two 8ft hedgecutters make for a quicker job ). We've not paid him yet (he said he would be back as soon as possible to do the other two conifers).

I'm working hard on the publicity for the course I'm running and the tournament I'm running. It's tough going!

@Zigs I've had three MV payouts (I think - or was it two ) already with another 1,800+ points pending.

A bit late on here as things sort of caught up on me. Non-stop phone calls coming in for two hours, then off out shopping and having a haircut, then more phone calls. I'm just going out to pick beans and pears. Then a curry to cook.

A beautiful warm and sunny day but not too hot. Just how I like it.
