Might still have another day of busy ness, my mate who's been down all week is about to ask the landlady if he can stay an extra day

It went down to 9c last night - was tempted to put the central heating on but elected to go to bed early, with an extra blanket and read an old Charlie Chan mystery. Had a hard time getting to sleep though as I was restless.

@shiney I cannot imagine going out shopping after dark
@Zigs too much fun getting the boy tired out?

It is sunny outside and I'm thinking this will make it seem like a pleasant autumn day out there and a good one to go out and play later this morning. I have more tidying to do as the plants are starting to look quite sad.

Might do some baking this morning too

@moyra forgot to answer your query - I got the van fixed - for a mere $1,072.

 

@shiney Heavy downpours here but no thunder or lightening. As I didn't go to bed until 1am I would have notice. It just goes to show how localised weather phenomena is.

24 hour shopping is great. When I was coach driving my shifts could start and end at any time day or night. It make sense to do your shopping while you're out. It saves you a trip and wasting a day that could be used more constructively.

Before I lived here I lived in a flat that was within walking distance of a local shopping arcade. If I had some down time, I could park the bus on the bus stop, shop, take it home and put it away then go back to work. Job done.
