    Thanks everyone,

    We've been out all day with friends. Eight of us went on a boat trip. Then four of us have been to the cinema (Finest Hour - excellent film) and then to a very good veggie restaurant. Cinema and restaurant on a 'Meal Deal' of £21 per head. Great value :dbgrtmb:

        A nice bright morning. Off out with friends today. We'll be going for a walk (an all day stroll with a nice cafe and good ice cream - about 10 miles from the nearest town). There should be eight of us and we're supposed to be meeting at a car park in the woods. Not sure about a couple of them who were going out last night for :Wino: :snork:

            It is cloudy and mild at the moment. Mentally, it's perfect for having to stay inside to work. I also am going to be hanging some drapes at a client's today as well. Then I go to see my wine supplier. Perfect example of money in and money out... :rolleyespink:

                Aloha everyone,

                Yesterday worked out to be a perfect day. :blue thumb: Our all day stroll went very well. When we arrived at one of the many beauty spots on the way we had a lovely surprise. One of our friends went down on one knee and proposed to his long term partner :yahoo: (been together for 17 years). After all the tears, laughter and hugs he produce a bottle of Bolly :Wino: from his backpack (and eight champagne glasses -plastic). The bottle (empty) has been retained by Mrs Shiney who will make something out of it for them. The friend who was proposed to is a best selling author (@"M" you know who ;)) but can't say anything yet until info is released to her publicity people and fan club.

                That was a good start to a lovely day.

                Tonight I've organised for all of us to go out for an Italian and theatre. The play is 'Handbagged' about the Queen and Mrs Thatcher. It has had brilliant reviews so we're in for a good time. :dbgrtmb:

                    Pleased for you moyra, must be a relief for you. Always a concern when they go for an MOT because you never know what might come up/fall off :oops:

                    Finally have an appointment for Ozzy's physio assessment: two weeks time. He's still on limited walks but he's coping with that well enough - not that he has any say in the matter :heehee:

                    Gorgeous day out there, but it will get too hot for my liking before too long so I'm not one for being out in it if I can avoid it.

                        Well done, @moyra's car :yay:

                        The bottle will be 'slumped' in a kiln. The neck of the bottle will be filled with 'kiln carving' (a paper like heat resistant substance). This will cause the bottle to flatten but the neck to remain raised (like a handle) with the mouth open. The bottle can then be used in the kitchen as a large spoon rest or, more commonly with larger bottles, as a novelty cheese board - and a small cheese knife can be inserted in the neck of the bottle.

                        The play was superb. Well written and brilliantly acted, and funny.

                              Just as @Zigs , I too am having a day off. I only have one client coming by to drop off some fabric and we'd already established the finished product and pricing so she'll be here less than 5 minutes.

                              Am just making up some more spider might spray. Discovered some on one of my plants and now they are all going to die. Die I tell you! And I don't care if it causes it to rain, we need the water. I make the spray with water, isopropyl alcohol and a dash of dish soap. And it works :)
