    We had a nice lazy day strolling with friends :blue thumb: and then to a couple of pretty villages for window shopping :sad: and a little purchasing :doh: :snorky:

    Today we shall be meeting friends and going for a stroll and a picnic somewhere nice and secluded for some peace and quiet - after going to the market! :rolleyespink:

              Good day everyone
              I am going to have an aimless weekend. Maybe do a little baking and then on to vigorous puttering. :)

              We have received promises of rain many times by the weather guessers however mother nature has chosen to make them liars every time. We are supposed to be having thunderstorms at this very moment but it seems the blue skies have somehow muffled the thunder, camouflaged the flashes of lighting, and blocked any drops of rain from falling to earth. :scratch:

              So, I shall put a dozen eggs in the sun oven and consider it a lazy start to making a potato salad for supper. It is salad days here - yesterday we reached 94f and more of the same is predicted.

              Have a safe play day :)

                Good morning all my friends on this Bonus of a day,its my Granddaughters(Chloe) 5th birthday to day,she is a little cracker and as she lives in Dorset so I cam't be with her ,but I shall speak to her on the phone and wish her a happy birthday,I always receive Grandad cards from my Grandchildren on Fathers day which is nice,anyway I digress enjoy your day and keep smiling:smile:

                These are the ones received by post lots more to arrive by hand:smile:

                    Happy Father's day and Granddad day to all those who have earned the title :)

                    It is already fairly warm here but it is predicted to be the last of the days in the high 80's up to mid 90's. After this we are expecting to get seasonal normals of mid 70's. Should be wonderful for all the weeding I need to do. :thud:

                    Being Sunday morning, I shall be spending the next few hours in the kitchen, baking breads and buns while listening to my show. Can't think of a better way to spend my Sunday mornings!

                      I got back from the Lake District a couple of hours ago. It's baking hot here :phew:. We're watering after having unpacked but I put the sprinkler on the veggies first. Got to get the priorities right :snork:

                              @wiseowl I'm smiling :) :snork: but not quite sure about the bouncability bit :snorky:

                              I moved the sprinkler to the front garden at 4.30 a.m. with the help (hindrance) of Sarafi.:cat-kittyandsmiley: He's been sitting, for the last hour, with his nose against the glass of the back door and hoping for something to eat. As we've only just got home from hols we don't have any scraps for him (Shhh! Don't tell his staff at his house that he gets scraps from us :th scifD36:) so I've told him to bag himself a rabbit.

                              I've been trying to catch up on things and am still ploughing through my snail mail. I have to renew my driving licence - again, and have got notice that my free old fogies hearing check is now due again. Car tax renewal form was also here to greet me - £525 :hate-shocked: (Mrs Shiney's car tax on her new, efficient, car was only £30)

                              I'm running a bridge seminar this morning but don't need to swot up on it as everything is prepared - PowerPoint etc. Then, this afternoon, I'll have to do some shopping.

                              I'll move the sprinkler in a couple of hours and should have finished the beds in the front garden by tomorrow evening. Temperature reached 93F (34C) yesterday. The veggies look a lot happier after yesterday's watering. :dbgrtmb:
