Aloha everyone,

Sun is awake here.

Michael said he would come along today (if he wakes up ) so he can start clearing the debris from the storms. That will make another big bonfire pile.

As most of you know, we support our local charity for mentally handicapped children (the one we open our garden for) and I'm organising a bridge in March drive to raise some money for them. I've, also, been working on getting a grant for them. This has now been successful and I've got them £2,500 from a charity in the City that is part of one of the big investment companies (they gave away a quarter of a million pounds last year). I hadn't told the charity that I was trying to get it so it was a very pleasant surprise for them when I told them yesterday.

Aloha everyone,

I had a good walk to the village this morning but it started raining . Luckily I had taken my umbrella with me . Unfortunately, as I opened the umbrella a very strong wind suddenly caught it and broke two of the spokes . I've fixed the spokes but it now doesn't close fully.
