            Aloha everyone,

            We had our bridge club annual dinner and dance last night. It was very good and I kept my speech to less than two minutes, and that included advertising our annual quiz and a forthcoming charity bridge drive. No other speeches allowed :blue thumb:

            I've got a plumber coming round today to try and fix a number of plumbing problems. :fingers crossed:

                Good morning everyone. In a lot of pain with my feet but got to keep them moving. Have rehab coming in this morning at 11 am. Steve is doing a brilliant job of looking after me.

                      Plumber has been. Fixed taps and other things but the dishwasher is an ex-dishwasher, it is no more, it is deceased, gone to meet its maker, it is bereft of life, kicked the bucket, shuffled off this immortal coil, pushing up daisies.

                            @moyra and @wiseowl I hope you are both feeling a little better. :grphg:

                            We have our minister coming to visit today so I shall need to wear my innocent and contrite face :heehee: (as well as clothes, of course :snorky:).

                            Defrosting our upright freezer is a pain in the fundament! I have to keep mopping the floor and have been doing it since midday yesterday. The evaporation tank on it is tiny (especially for a 2 metre high freezer :rolleyespink:) and we have a cloth draped into it and into a bowl next to it. The tank is too close to the ground to be able to get underneath it, so it drips onto the floor as well. :doh: So I bend down (ooh, my back!), wipe the water up, wring out the cloths and lay the cloths back down. It didn't start dripping much until about 8 p.m. but I've mopped it up every two hours since then. I hope it's finished by midday today. :fingers crossed:

                              Good morning everyone, thank you for you well wishes. Rehab decided that Steve was doing a sufficiently good job and I didn't need them. Do want the hospital to let me have my release notes though so the doc knows what to prescribe me.
