    Aloha everyone,

Just got back from a meeting and shall have a cuppa before going into town for another meeting.

It's sunny again but a really cold wind. The gales in the night took down my big bird feeder. It's too windy for me to try and put it back up and I hope there's not too much damage. From the window I can see that the squirrel guard is broken . I hope the largest feeder hasn't suffered too much damage as I'm running out of spare parts. It's usually the bird perches that get broken off.

Keep well and have a great day

    Aloha!

        Aloha everyone,

Frosty and sunny this morning but no wind. Apart from the squirrel guard being broken the biggest bird feeder was damaged (about £50 total of damage) but I've managed to get it back together so they are eating quite happily. I shall now search the internet for new parts.

Keep well and have a great day

        Aloha!

I've just had a good walk in the sun. It didn't feel at all cold although it's only just above freezing. :blue thumb:

Walked to the village and back to pick up my prescription (new stockings :heehee:).

@Zigs Our solar panels have been doing quite well this week. Are yours doing well?

                      Aloha everyone,

The week has two ends :blue thumb: - anterior and posterior :heehee: I've always been a pain in the posterior :noidea:

We have a wet weekend but it's dry indoors - and nice and warm and cuddly (so is the temperature ;) :snorky:).

I ordered a battery, through amazon, for my camera. It only took one day to get here  but was completely flat and wouldn't take a charge. Either that, or it would not connect to the camera properly. When it was put in the camera nothing happened and when put in the charger the charging light came on for five seconds and then went off. So it was either full and not working with my camera or it couldn't take a charge. So I've printed a label and shall be sending it back.

The old battery is still working OK but I've a feeling that it doesn't hold a charge quite as well as it did, so I was going to keep it as a spare. Now I still have to get another one.

Keep well and have a great day

                      Aloha!

                        Morning later people :)

Batteries are back up to power Shiney, but only getting 0.1 amps thru the misty rain today.

Pottering about in the greenhouse this morning.

Have a good day everyone :spinning:

Hi @shiney I'd still contact Amazon through chat to make sure your pic up is when stated, as I did a send back the once printed the label for next day and no pic up mate...so double check :)

Tell me about it. The plan was to turn the greenhouse 90 degrees to hide the end of the garden from view. That end would then be cleared of rubbish and used as an area to store compost bins, bulk bags etc. As you can see my green house wasn’t up to the job. I’ve only had it a few months. Thankfully there are no tender plants in there and, if anything, they could do with the acclimatisation.

I am now looking at something like this:

Buy Mill Poly twin-walled 6 x 4ft Greenhouse at Argos.co.uk - Your Online Shop for Greenhouses, Greenhouses and accessories, Conservatories, sheds and greenhouses, Home and garden.

Size wise it would be like standing 3 of the existing greenhouses next to each other. It would fill the gap perfectly. It should be a lot sturdier but there is still the wind problem. 90% of the reviewers say it’s pretty sturdy once erected. The other 10% say it’s flimsy rubbish. Who do you believe? A proper greenhouse would be nice but I can’t afford one. I can’t really afford this one but at Argos we can pay over 6 months interest free.

                              :gaah:

                              G.

Hi @Jack Sparrow that green house looks a good one for £200.00 nearly and although the reviews sway...i'm a big believer in you never know what's something like unless you've brought it yourself, so it's an hard decision mate [IMG]
