@shiny please rest up and take it very easy, I have osteoporosis in my spine and have always ( since I was 14) suffered from dodgy back problems. Even if you THINK you can manage a task today don't attempt it, let your back heal and rest.

Well, dare I say it.....We are ready for Christmas!!!
Decorations are up , cards have been written and posted, food has been bought/ ordered except of course for the fresh stuff, menu plan sorted for when we have the whole family over to us inbetween Christmas and New Year, all decorations are up at my Dad's and I have bought his cards and will order his stamps when I do his online shopping later.

Smug!.......who me? Yep!!

My dads doing ok, he’s dying to get out of the house now, it’s been two weeks so he’s allowed to drive as long as he takes it easy and no lifting.

I will send you pictures of my tree either later or tomorrow, think I maybe putting my parents decorations up too

Glad to hear that your Dad is doing well @Flumpy , must be a huge relief for him and all of you.....the perfect Christmas pressie!.

My Dad made me giggle yesterday ( well it was a toss up with crying actually ) He stated that he wasn't bothered about having decorations put up ( says this every year !) , then sat there dishing out instructions to where everything should go ( does this every year too!!) Whoa betide us if we deviated from the normal display!!....... Bless him!! ( he hasn't got a beard.......actually is this a naked Santa!!)

I walked over to my sister's this morning to cut her hair ( did hub's and my Dad's yesterday too), the weather was lovely and I even hand delivered some Christmas cards on the way. Sadly the weather changed and I got soaked coming back, even my umbrella kept blowing inside out!!:windy:

You might be able to tell......I'm bored!!

Your dad sounds a bit like mine, he moans about it, but like your dad, everything’s in the same place but it looks nice plus he always gets what he wants.
The weather here is awful, it’s rained for two weeks now so can’t get anything done
