:spinning:Morning all, weather is dry here so far but very cold -2.

So glad Wiseowl is ok, and hope he gets his Internet fixed very soon:dbgrtmb:

Shiney well done, sounds like you had a good time, it must take a lot of organisation, but it’s worth it because people enjoy it, it gets people out of the house and also gives some people a chance to socialise, well done :dbgrtmb::blue thumb::yes:

Morning Moyra glad your well, have a nice walk and wrap up warm, nice cup of tea when you get back :spinning:

I've been organising people all my life (sometimes called a busybody! :heehee:) and have got fairly good at it. I run clubs, committees and voluntary organisations - well, I had to do something when I retired 19 years ago :old:

Wait until you stop working @Flumpy ...you'll wonder how you ever managed to find time to have a job!!:lunapic 130165696578242 5: Although I haven't reached 'that ' age yet I decided to unofficially stop when my hubs retired ( have got a couple of days work booked for later in the month). We don't seen to have enough hours in the day to do everything now...and it's surprising how many people seek out your 'help' once they realise you're retired too!.:)

Upsydaisy, my friend who I worked with for seven years retired two years ago, she said it’s been non stop, visiting, decorating and doctors appointments :)

Hiya Flumpy, I am in West Cornwall. I think its around 11 degrees, maybe more in the garden; its a walled garden so holds any heat very well. Nice, sunny and I will be mowing later.:)
Always glad to send on some sunshine:)
We are in for a relative warm week but rain is coming too:noidea:

Hi Verdun your garden sounds lovely and a real sun trap, can’t believe your lawn is still growing, I stopped cutting mine late October.

It’s now 4c and raining but at least it’s getting rid of all the snow.

I’m going to a meeting tomorrow night to show my support to the community where I grew up, as there is rumours they are going to build hundreds of houses on Greenbelt land next to my mum and dads house, such a shame as there is so much wild life there, often there are Dear at the bottom of my mum and dads garden early hours. Fingers crossed our petitions work :dbgrtmb:

Morning , bit of a grey damp start to the new week....snow is much prettier!

Thankfully we are still quite rural around here but the new builds are definitely creeping nearer! But even though they are a distance away it still has a knock on effect for our wildlife. We always had deer scampering across the fields opposite us and you had to drive very carefully up our lane for fear of them being hit, but now their sightings are sadly becoming a rarity. It even seems like the rabbit population is on the decline too....although we still have them just not in such large numbers.

Well as it's a bit of a damp squib out there I am meeting up with a friend and going to the cinema later this morning....it's a hard life!!:heehee:

                          Have a good day!

Flumpy, grass usually comtinues to grow all year long down here, even the front lawn that was savaged by scarifying and raking a few weeks ago is greening up well.:) Good luck at your meeting; we all need to speak up a whole lot more :)

Just back from the beach.......increasingly blue sky:).

Edited later....the weatherman said we could get 12 degrees today; it was so warm this afternoon, possibly 15 or 16 degrees
