looked at that link & it was like i was 20 years back, but in a lesser time span. you didn't show it racing at all! at least not what i got when i was on your link.

are you more into rally racing?

you are dead right about paint jobs. my ex used to always go on about them. even really expensive new cars he used to look at and say ' look at that'. was called orange peel. the worst ones were the black for those scratches you've shown. that's what my ex's cresta was. hours of polishing, and no way under a auto washer.

i only have an old car so don't really care about the finish, as long as it's reliable that's all that counts, and ours is. ****py inside too cos our dog has the back seat as hers. we don't have family or friends that come in the car so that's no problem - wonder why

    Cheers all

:D I have a 1994 Rover 214 coming down from Wales as a shed run around. It's going to get the full machine polish treatment and my £170 wax. The wax on the car will in all seriousness be worth more than the car

A step up from a skip I guess :D One the kids can be car sick in and the dog can jump around in.

The Cresta I like most is the late 50's facelift, reminds me of American Classics. Like most classics they ruined them in the 70's :(

I love touring cars and the WRC the most ;)

I would just like to say it'a not only boys who love messing around with their cars I do too!

I used to mess around with mini's (the car that is not skirts)and now have a little more room to play with.....even though I have a little old x reg corsa I have given it the pink treatment inside and a little outside too what with wiper blades and indicator lights and so on I even have the pink poodle that sits on my pink parcel shelf!

Bob's going to put some of Harry's old back lights in soon for me... that lucky lad has got some lovely black irmscher lights so I'ave got his old lexus ones, I would like some angel eyes for the front but then maybe I should wait until I can drive again before I start doing other things to it.

Our son Harry got the custom bug from his mum and was a total Boy Racer notice I say WAS he used to spend hundreds on his own little corsa now he just spends thousands on his computers instead!

Sorry if I'ave bored all you none car mad people :D
