Yellow poppies seeding

    Not sure if that was for me or Kandy - but if it's me, I do know that the one I have is not an Iceland poppy. Will see if I can get some good poppy-pics tomorrow, maybe someone will know what kind my orange one is!

    David,I am not sure either who you were talking about but as you can see form my second photo I have both the yellow and the orange type and with them crossing I am now getting yellow flowers with an orange edge to them:thumb:

    I had thos iceland poppies for a couple of years before they died out.Tried sprinkling the seeds in my gravel bed but they never came to much.I have a packet of seeds of the Californian sort I think they are called but keep forgetting to sow them:rolleyes:

    My ladybird ones were nice but the wind battered the petals so on some of them I just have the seed head left:thumb:

    Lovely pics Kandy - lvoe those big seedheads! Reminded me to go and see if I can capture some of my own! ...
