At first I thought I was watching a comedy sketch. I was waiting for the chap to get beamed up unexpectedly or something, but it turned quite sinister toward the end. That gentleman needs an emergency visit from the gentlemen in white coats.

A successful olympic event at Hampden Park last night as the british olympic committee managed to nearly start WWIII by showing North Korean players against a back drop of a south korean flag, muppets

To add to the madness of the 'organisers' - the Westfield Shopping Centre in Stratford will not be open today (Saturday) to shoppers unless they have tickets for the Olympics!!

They only decided that they would not allow shoppers in (to the dismay of the shopkeepers) a few days ago. There's going to be (no) fun and (no) games for the people that turn up to do their normal shopping there. Lots of people from my part of the world go there regularly and I asked, this evening, a dozen people whether they knew it would be closed. Only one knew :hate-shocked:

If "LONDON" is a protected listed expression, does that not indicate the level of idiocy of LOCOG?
Maybe we need to revert to Londinium for the duration of the Games (ref. St James' Park not being allowed to be called the Sports Direct Arena)
They will of course need to remove all the signage that refers to "London" - who cares about Costs.
UK has lost a fortune in merchandising opportunities because of such restrictions - typified by the guy who wasn't allowed to hand 5 Bagels in his window in a specific way to celebrate the Games - shame on LOCOG.
