    hi macleaf, I would get pastry wise jus-rol puff-pastry is great for steak & kidney easier just roll it out.

    steak & kidney put in a pan of gravy chopped onions if you like cook until stak & kidney is cooked put a pinch each of salt & pepper.
    put steak in an oven proof dish and put your pastry on the top, iff you like mix an egg and using a pastry brush, brush the top, probably on a gas mark 5 or 6 until the pastry is cooked and looked nicelt risen and golden brown. good luck enjoy

    macleaf dont have the gravy too thin fairly thick for the pie and i always make another pan of gravy extra as i have done that myself and my hubby said ohhhh its dry, so i always have extra to cover the dinner.
