Cheers Redstar , great idea :blue thumb: looks like a 2 gallon bucket with 3 levels of holes . I may try that with petunias this year . I don't think anyone will be growing impatiens this season with the mildew problem of the last two years

In case your wondering, that is 28 holes in the pot. And of course plants needed on the top layer. So I put 35 plants in it. Did pansies for now, later will re-do it with impatiens again. The picture above---in the beginning is from last year. And when done, it is quite heavy lifting it, should have used the wheelbarrel to travel it down the driveway, but made it.

Due to the impatients scare. I went with Petunians this year in hopes there was just enough sun to keep them happy. This is at the road side so at least the openness of the road does not block sun. But I do try to turn them often. When I put them in on May 21, they were just babies, with no flowers. Seem like I will have a good showing. And the white shrub in bloom you see, it is huge , there are two, one on each side of the driveway. They both weep over into the driveway, making like a little secret travel path. Anyway, for my flowers in the pot, I keep a plastic jug of water hidden behind a tree so I don't have to cart water back and forth all the time.
