You know Christmas is on it's way.....

Ordered my first Christmas gift for husband, and same one for me. its a cup holder with a huge clip thing to hold onto a outdoor rocking chair, or the pergola swing. Hey, after all these years, not too much we need. Now we can rocket with beer or wine. Or be swingers with wine.

Everyone will REALLY know Christmas is on it's way when you'll see Easter Eggs in the shops.

 

Oh lord above you mean we’ve got to go through all that again?? .

Christmas is a bit of a touchy subject in this house...last year was fairly awful! Most of family turned up an hour late for lunch...then my brother rolled up 1hour & 45 mins late! I still feel cross about it! The subject keeps being brought up & I keep changing the subject

 

we always used to go away for Xmas but we have a very old fragile cat! No one wants to look after him because he’s so old, he’s doing really well on his meds but we don’t suspect he will go on much longer, as soon as he goes to rainbow bridge we will definitely start going abroad for Xmas again.

 

Today I am packing my Christmas Gift for my Secret Santa. Been a member of a cooking group for about 20 years. We exchange SS gifts every year. The exciting part is our membership if filled with lots of folks from every part of the world. This year my SS is in South Africa. And my SS is unknown. Its neat to receive local items etc. The only draw back is the postage, which can be up there to send. Been able to meet up with a few of them over the years. Really awesome. As it was awesome to meet up with @Irmemac (Marion) in Scotland, and her husband.

 

I get that, two of my cats are elderly, one is 18 and one is 19. No meds. but it bothers me to leave for too long. My other is about 14. No one on meds, thank goodness. I only want to be gone a week these days, or less. Have a nice neighbor to help with the outside one (who still refuses to come inside) . But he says, you never know you have cats, when he comes over to put the dry out for the outside one, she will disappear, as would the inside one. Thus he would never know if they were hurt or not as they would not appear for him. Yes, she has a heated cat house and heated water in the winter, soft blankets changed monthly.

Cor, Christmassy snow already!

 

This last week the sound of chainsaws in the pine plantation opposite my house.

 

The reductions have started already and it's only mid-November! (Homebase 1/3 off artificial trees, Dobbies 20% off artificial trees & lights).

 

Yeah that's what they say, but basically that is the right price, they just put them out there at stupid prices for a few weeks and then reduce them.
Its like the old DFS "sale".
