Or when the smell of Sunday lunch is overpowered by the smell of chutney bubbling away on the stove - because you just cannot waste those green tomatoes...

when you are sat on a beach in the South of France surrounded buy tons and tons of the most exquisite fine gravel that would be so lovely in a compost mix and you haven't got a crane bag to put it in,

86 - your kitchen windowsill is stacked with butter tubs that have been through the dishwasher because you just know how handy they are for making next year's plant labels

                87. You use the Wilkos store locator to plan your holiday route and check out the reductions in every store you can on the way there, then again on the way back.

                  88. Your choice of sweets & biscuits to buy for Xmas is influenced by how suitable the tins/plastic boxes will be for storing seed packets.

                  89. When you give somebody a tin of sweets as Xmas presents you ask if you can have the tin back when empty.

                      Taking that a shade further

91 - You never, ever refuse any offer of any gardening stuff, whether or not you actually need it, or can find a home for it, etc., however useless, or unusable it is, because someday they might actually give you something that you'll have a use for.
