    95. You methodically frisk all your plants and pots for illegal aliens before bringing them into the greenhouse for the winter. Yesterday I found two slugs and a whitefly trying to smuggle in.

97 . You buy a new quilted jacket so your old one can be recycled as winter lagging around a precious lemon tree pot!
        Win win in my mind!

            99. You're on holiday.

You're thousands of miles from home, staying in a remote log cabin in the Canadian Rockies.

You're only staying there for a couple of days......

......and yet you just can't resist the urge to pick up a watering can and attend to those hanging baskets. (Photo courtesy of Mrs Trunky, who found it highly amusing)

                101. The weather is dreadful, cold, raining, gales, yet you fight your way to your already ENORMOUS compost heap to add a few vegetables leaves to it...bonkers:rolleyespink:. Lolimac I stopped my builders driving off with the offcuts of Kingspan they'd used during the renovations here. I thought I was being terribly clever to see their use for other things...obviously others have similar ideas!!!!:)

                  102. You still keep watering your empty poly tunnel beds during winter because they might dry out and you're worried about all the worms and beneficial microbes in them.

You measure out box hedging for planting to the nearest mm, and then fret it doesn't look quite perfect when finished, even though it will end up 30cm-40cm wide!

Afraid not Scrungee. It was definitely yesterday.

If you read through the link, towards the end it says: The solstice is traditionally celebrated at the sunrise closest to the time when the sun is stationary before beginning its transit to the north or south. This year this occurs late on 21 December, hence the winter solstice celebrations take place at sunrise on 22 December.

I'm not letting English Heritage steal my moment of glory. :paladin:

The celebration may have been at sunrise but the solstice, as far as I know, was at 10.03 p.m. yesterday
