Our sons certainly aren't!! The general day to day living costs are so much higher too, we certainly noticed that ourselves last weekend.

Frustratingly not doing want I want/need to do at the moment. :wallbanging: I hurt my back 5 days ago and it's stubbornly decided to take it's time to recover. I know that resting up isn't the answer it's just trying to find that happy medium to keeping gently on the move. I have Osteoporosis in my lower vertebrae so know I must pace myself while trying to keep from stiffening up completely. I really don't want to be lugging our luggage on trains, through Waterloo and onto buses next week.....it has to do as it's told and get better....soon.

No servants here Shiney..we value each other too much.:imphrt: Depending on how long we go away for we either carry our own or as in this case we take turns and share pulling the wheelie case.:imphrt::)
Hubs does and undoubtedly will offer to take the full load, but I don't and won't accept his thoughtful offer...too independent !

Just back from a very slow 2 mile walk, calling in on the way to see two sets of friends . Not too bad going but coming home was a tad painful at times as it's all uphill. Might attempt another walk this afternoon after our dinner.:fingers crossed: It's a gorgeous day through, too good to be stuck indoors.

It's a wonder nobody has come up with a foldable suitcase rack with an electric motor, or maybe they have?
Everything else these days seems to be running on batteries.

@Upsydaisy so sorry to hear that about your back, hope that you're better soon.
                  :grphg:

I haven't got what you have but i hurt my back, when i got out of bed wrong or lay wrong, I agree with you it's best to keep moving and not sit around but very painful when walking.

Renewed car insurance. Got quoted £550 from direct line, did one of those compare the market quote things, phoned up direct line and they knocked £150 off the quote. Chancers.

                          Speaking as a peasant
My whole working life has pretty much revolved around either working for government or people with a lot more money than I'll ever have.
Not as a servant as such, but it's how society works.
It kept me in a living anyway.
