Your Day (apart from gardening) - what took place? 2023

Met an ex work colleague for a catch up and coffee. Despite it being a tad nippy the beautiful sunshine was too good to miss so we sat at a outside table at the cafe.

 

Keeping an eye on hubby after his hernia repair surgery a week ago on Monday. Went food shopping and i pushed the trolley and lifted the bags in the car and into the house.
The place on his body where it was done, it started to bleed a bit through the dressing. He phoned them up and they said as long as he felt fine just take the dressing off and let it dry out. He did that and now it's getting better and drying up. He can't wear his underpants because of the band going over the cut, he's a bit happy with that.

 

Went for a posh meal in Cafe Andaluz, spending the gift card we got for Christmas from my Sister. £80

The food was very nice indeed (with that price it should), good people watching opportunities and in general a very nice outing

I ate 12 Padron peppers

 

Sat in a room packed with loads of other people waiting all day for something to happen then at 3.45 it did.
My lips are sealed

 

Oh go on! You can't leave us in suspenders all evening! What happened?

Oooh Pete how exciting......I've always wanted to be picked. Hope it's a good 'juicy' one .

 

I asked to be excluded as I did not believe in the British Jury System (having worked in American law) ... and I got excused!

 

My eldest sister wasn't keen and she got excused quite easily too. I can't remember what she said as it was a long time ago but I know we all didn't think it would work.

 

I'd love to be called as a witness so when questioned by one of those smarty pants lawyers, I could tell them to mind their manners and show some respect!

I have risked that before by sassing coppers. One was stopping traffic for seatbelt checks - just as drivers were coming out of a long dark underpass on a bright sunny day. I told him he was going to cause an accident and told him if he wasn't effing gone by the time I came back up the road, I'd be going straight to the station to make a complaint. Needless to say, he wasn't there when I returned about 15 minutes later. I have sassed other men with badges if they are doing something I think is incredibly stupid. I respect most coppers, just have no patience for the stupid ones!

I'm going downtown Toronto today so another opportunity to give the boys with the badges another lesson in common sense and when to apply some!

 

I only received one valentine card today. I recognised the handwriting. It was from my Mum.

 

I didn't get any , but I was taken out for lunch.
