Jane, those are a good choice for the room - and I do know this because this is what I do for a living!:blue thumb:(not sure what the different coloured thumbs mean but hope this is positive)

It's almost lunch here and I have accomplished nothing but online shopping. Ordered some new wicks for my kerosene heater. Ordered wicks and a 3rd kerosene lantern. Ordered , ordered, ordered.... No wonder I work so hard - got to get more money in so I can quickly send it back out!:)

Going to get the last of the frozen tomato plants out of the garden and start baking the soil from some of my pots in my outdoor wood oven. .. death to you nasty bugs!:heehee:

My day has been RUBBISH :wallbanging: at work, phone never stopped ringing, contractors letting me down, I need a chill pill.

Voted today. Federal election day. Think I'll burn the morning paper before reading because it looks like I will be badly disappointed.

Got lots of used potting soil baked and ready to mix with new potting soil, egg shells, ashes etc. About 60 liters in all.

Repaired the bench, and organized lots of paperwork. I keep all of my manuals and receipt in biders marked, outdoor, greenhouse, kitchen small appliances, kitchen big appliances and so on for every part of the house. Hmmmm, ocd or just A type?

Should get supper going soon. Fed the other half (and me) apple pie that I had just baked along with vanilla ice cream - instead of meat and potatoes, then butterscotch ice cream cones for dessert last night, can't get away with that one again Well maybe I can...have another dwink honey ????? :snork:

still early here, 7AM. working through coffee. Perhaps 30 mins on the room clean out some more. Lists in my head of the reports for work to do. Have to drive about an hour to a job site to review books to make sure the staff is doing their job and what is missing (have a idea already--its not good). But there is a polish bakery near there so can get something sweet for home . Weather getting warmer this week I hear.

Wednesday, just another day at work, a meeting in the morning then worked on reports till my eyes were blurry. Cooked a quick dinner, then some time cleaning out that room. First bundle of throw out for the good-will to go. And giving away some books to anyone. Might just drop them off at the laundramate, take my old mags there sometime. Thursday will be off to work again, to just continue the reports to do, typing away. Weather getting warmer this week. Still have my sweaters packed from last winter.

I got a text this morning from my mum that woke me up at 9am saying we are going into to brum to see the new grand central do you want to come

Normally i would say no as i hadnt planned for this energy use and would have to rush to get ready but if i didnt go now my parents wouldnt be going back and i havnt been into brum in the day time for a year.

So i rushed to get dressed they came to pick me up and when i got to their house i realised i had my nightwear glasses with me and not my sunglasses which were needed. So we rushed back to my house and back to their again. We then walked down the road to the train station. Caught a train into brum. Walked to grand central and looked around then walked to the mailbox to look around. The interior of harvey nicks was lovely. We then walked back to grand central and had yo sushi. I love sashimi and it was ok from there but i have had better in birmingham. We then walked through the bullring back the train station. Got on the train and walked back to my parents.

I then had to rest at my parents for a bit before coming home. My feet are killing me im overally exhausted. I feel like i have been punched all over and im in so much pain.

It was nice to go and see it but i dont feel apart of that world anymore. The noise, lights and smells are so overpowering and crowds are exhausting because your brain has to process so much information. It reminded me how unwell i actually am and how far off i am from being a normal functioning person.

Now im resting and just watching tv and wont be moving for hours.

Went across the border to do some shopping and pick up some shipments.

This time I actually took the time to get out of the car and take some pics after coming back through customs. I think they rub their hands together when they see me :snork:

The first is the Whirpool/Rapids at just downriver from Niagara Falls and the second is a shot of the Whirlpool Bridge that I use to get to the States. It can sometimes make you jump when a train goes across the upper trestle!

Hope your better Dips soon. Age is a killer, your mind thinks of the quickness of what we "used to " then the body lags behind.
New carpet installed. Looks great. Still going through stuff, I am not moving all the crap back in there. Dropped off a bag if books to the laundramate, will get more together. have got to lighten up my stuff.
