Day off work today, apart from some garden related stuff - I walked the dog and went for lunch with the wife.

Had my sister and her brood up today for a visit. Bethany had her first country walk ( ok so I lugged her about in a papoose thingy) and got introduced to Mr ed (a horse, of course). Now a bit knackered to be honest so it's lucky there's an entire day of rugby isn't it? :)

Good afternoon and welcome to another day in paradise :heehee: went for a drive but came back early as all the other car drivers seemed to be aiming their cars at yours truly:lunapic 130165696578242 5:

Should have wrote this yesterday, as we are in the process of having the gas mains replaced.

Cant fault the way they have done it, very little trouble and gas only off for about 6hrs.

Just played Mrs Sticky Beak in a group Skype call with my lads. It didn't start off like that, I was having a 1:1 but now I know I can only see *one* person at a time on Skype and not a *group* So, basically, they could see each other, I only had a blank screen but could hear both of them (they couldn't see me either) and it felt like I was eavesdropping
It was quite funny because they started talking to one another about facial hair and I just sat there thinking: "Do I *really* need to be in this conversation?" :heehee: Felt sort of ... intrusive (?).
So, I've left them to it ... very politic, I think :heehee:

Fabulous sight aren't they (barn owls, I mean, not rugger) :wub2: What a privilege!

Ok, I will go just sooooo far as to say that I prefer rugger to footie by a smidgen but that stems from my four older brothers (as kids) giving me the best place "ever" in footie (just so I wasn't left out) in prime position as ...

... the goal post!!! :th scifD36:

By my reckoning ... rugger had to be more ... gratifying? :dunno:

(Well, hell yeah, when I got to senior school :heehee: *Phoar*!!!)

last night simmered for 6 hours a nice turkey back and necks from butcher, so have a good 8 cups of turkey broth for freezer, have to clean off all the meat from that for something later, and container up the broth. So meanwhile sipping coffee. Then there is laundry, and some general household cleaning. hope to get outside before the snow (they report).

This morning we went off for a 3+ mile walk before coming home and finished off putting out the plants I dug up yesterday. After a quick bite to eat at lunch time we went off to fill up the big car but for the second week running, half of the fuel pumps at Mr T's shop were closed off and the queues were long so we had to go and fill up elsewhere and also called in the pet food supplier to get another big box of cat food and also called in Lidl to get some supplies but wasn't impressed with the selection so will go back to Mr T before Easter descends on us.:snorky:

After packing that lot away we got changed back into our walking kit and drove up to the old airfield and did another 2.5 mile walk but silly me forgot to take my camera with me:doh:

Cooked our chicken mini roasts with roast taters, veggies and Yorkshire puds and now Mr Kandy is watching the Australian Grand Prix:yawn: which he recorded earlier.

Later on we shall watch Country File, and then at nine if I am still awake we shall watch The Night Manager before going up to bed at ten as I will need my bed by then:snorky::old:

                          Well you did ask...

Busy day although I've been a bit under the weather! Made a large batch of dal for lunches at work this week, tidied the house, did the washing and cleaning and am in the middle of mixing three new songs for my band but we're all based in different places so are working on it over the internet!... And lots of tea drinking too. Phew!

Unblocked the bog. Cleaned house whilst my wife took our daughter to get some new shoes. Started to watch the Grand Prix with my son but ended up going in the garden for an hour as the weather was georgeous. Then went to hospital to visit my Nan and Grandad,
Popped into inlaws on the way back to fit car seat back into there car which I borrowed last week as I had taken mine out of car and forgot to put it back in. Back home for diner, bath kids now waiting for the night manager and about to have a beer.
