Your Day (apart from gardening) - what took place?

Went to South Stcks yesterday. Weather was sunny but very cold with strong winds. Climbed down lighthouse steps to watch Guillomots and Blackheaded Gulls nesting on cliffs. Took some pics of pretty, alpine like flowers and went into Elgins tower to look at the 2 live webcams of the Choughs and Guillomots. Indulged in cafe, although resisted cake.

Wind continuing to build so gave up idea of cliff top walk and settled for coffee and homemade cake at home in conservatory. Moved boy hedgehog to outside run prior to release. Don't think he will be too impressed with the weather after a nice cosy caravan - lol!

 

Read your first paragraph, and found the loop "does not compute...does not compute" going round my head. Relieved on reading your second paragraph!

I am pleased to say that Izzy is much better today. No need to get up in the night, and everything firm as it should be (dog owners will know just what I mean!).

Glad to report that today was a cold, muddy but otherwise totally uneventful walk!

Now off to sort out food help for the refugees trying to apply for asylum in Belgium (we have over 1000 applying each month). I've just read the shocking news that one of the main shelters in Brussels has just closed its doors yesterday...

I did ask Kev if he wanted to come but I think he will be at work, it will be the Suffolk show the following week so he thinks he will be on the show ground doing the prep.....more cake for us .

 

besides the job, and house stuff. putting our costume together for the big party in Key West, Fl. Will have it ready soon to ship it down.

 

Whereabouts are you? Don't know of any towns that have a Tuesday half-day....

 

I spent the day floating between sanding woodwork, waxing doors, playing with my dog ( who is very possibly more annoyed than me that the weather is awful) and buying more plants online.

 

My resolve suffered a definite wobble when a very interesting lemon meringue type creation arrived at next table . My own creation of Cherry Madeira paled to insignificance. Hubby says I must stop staring at other people's food with a vulture like expression

 

Had a very early start today (4am) and was out walking by 4.30 Home by 6.30 for a bacon butty and hot cuppa - it was cold out there this morning!
Had a crafting day because, despite the intermittent sunshine, it was too cold for my liking. I've now drawn up a little plan of what I've planted and where
