    Already have plus blinds cover top of windows. The other 2 birds were a Starling chick and a Dunnock chick. I think they're just clumsy and uncoordinated for awhile. All 3 were very lucky that they didn't hurt themselves and that I was around to help.

      Got woken up several times during the night by the fog horn going off. Quite foggy when I got up so decided to go to beach. Tide was right out so had to walk about quarter of a mile to find the sea. No wind today, sea was flat calm. Deliciously eery being enveloped in grey mist with the fog horn booming mournfully across the water and vague shapes I couldn't quite see but knew were rocks.. Almost like standing on an alien world inhabited by strange sea creatures. I've always been blessed with an abundance of imagination:snorky:

        Went out on kayaks this afternoon. Weather was warm, hazy sunshine when we paddled away from beach at bottom of our lane and we had checked forecast beforehand.Paddled about a mile when wind suddenly changed and fog started rolling in, so put into a beach and waited awhile hoping it might clear. It did not so had to paddle back in fog. Fog cleared just as we arrived back at our beach! Less than an hour later fog rolled in again and thick fog right now, both fog horns are going off. None of this was forecast.

            Very smart! Probably would have gone for patching plaster over filler but still will look ace when finished :)

              @Scrungee that's a beauty. Nice one:blue thumb:

              I spent most of my day puttering, tidying, doing laundry, barbecuing fòod for later, shopping and fixing some of my solar panel connections. Nice relaxing day!

              Oh and I called and told a soon to be former client, that I no longer alter or repair other peoples products. Felt much better after that :)

                  That 25p packet of reduced filler is for the gaps in the skirting board as the new surround is slightly narrower than the one I removed, I used something else to make good the plaster ....

                      Went into caravan Sat afternoon to make some chocolate brownie and realised that a Starling chick had fallen down the pot belly flue. Once we had dismantled the pot belly I was able to get my hand up inside the big silver flue. Bird latched onto my finger and I was able to carefully draw him\her out. A bit scared and a little sooty but unharmed☺

                          It's taken me 4 years and 2 days to finish painting the conservatory walls. 4 years to muster the enthusiasm and 2 days to paint.

                          I'm quite pleased with the result - should have done it years ago...:doh:

                              I should have known that this would happen. The newly painted conservatory makes the rest of the bungalow look scruffy - I've started to redecorate the bedroom - you watch - it will be the lounge next.
